I did a small research on keywords , than found that
there is very little competition for the phrase

" why do women cheat on their spouses "

    then i got a blogspot blog ,

    hxxp://www.whydowomencheatontheirspouses.blogspot.com/

and posted an article , and dugg on it , and posted to all other sb sites.

But still when you search for

" why do women cheat on their spouses "

    i rank 5th .

and that too not my link , diggs link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i pinged it already about 15 times in 3 days, pr stormed it , did a bit

    backlinking ,

but what the hell is that .........

    why cant i rank 1.

i really need serious help ,

Give it some time - add new content and redo it all again.

use link wheel tactic, you'll dominate google first page easily for low competition. if you don't use original content, your blog maybe sandboxed.

Maybe because you pinged it to many times, plus PRstorm can be bad luck unless you know what your doing.

Try looking at what your competition is doing. Just because you digg your article and have the exact phrase in url doesn't mean much.

Not to mention no one is going to tell you... Now everyone knows your niche and will most likely rip it from under you.

if you do too many things too quickly it will look unnatural to google and you'll get your site removed from their database.

You are not even indexed, you have just 1 article posted like a day ago give it time.

Not good, ping once and throw PRStorm in the trash.

Maybe you'd want the add the phrase "why do women cheat on their spouses" to your text. When I do a search for intitle:"why do women cheat on their spouses" intext:"why do women cheat on their spouses" I get only 2 results, and your is not one of them.

Using intitle and intext together will in many cases give you a clear picture of your competition...

Googles latest algo update is what we in the SEO world coined a 'Brand Update' ... they are placing a lot more value on trusted domains and domains considered to be a leading brand in that niche market.

Hence why digg outranks ur blogspot.

Also, considering ur keyword is a question and not a product its going to be tough, because Google is looking to return the best answer possible, from the most trusted site.

In googling the phrase I also see hubpages, yahoo answers, associated content, ezinearticles and kissmegoodnight.com (the #1 result) ... notice kiss me goodnight is a top relationship advice site...

hubpages, yahoo answers, ezine, associated content = trusted domains
kiss me goodnight = the leading domain for this type of question - ur brand if u will in this particular niche...

ur probably never going to outrank them, unless u do some aggressive backlink building, hope this helps...

I think i better get more content and more backlinks , to be rank one.

And i would also like to tell that i tried the link wheel tactics already and have linked it to
more than 7 sb sites , but still cant understand why am i not ranking for that term.

Anyway thanks for the advice , wont use pr strom anymore and will get some more content.

Jammy: Don't let anyone tell you Blogspots aren't "trusted" domains.. there are Blogspots dominating words such as "Make Money Online" and "Making Money Online" and have been for years.

#1: Content is king. Don't over do how many times your keyword you're trying to rank for is mentioned inside of your article or content but try to mention it once or twice per every 100 words.

The only time "why do women cheat on their spouses" is mentioned on your blog is in the Blog Title, the post title and on the blog archive, but it is nowhere to be found inside your actual content or the label you slapped on them. You need to include this in your actual content.

#2: I know some people might say they have success with PR storm but I've never used it and I don't advise you do either.

#3: Back-links. When we type in "why do women cheat on their spouses", you aren't even on the list. Also, pinging it several times probably didn't help.. you only published one article, you should have only pinged it once.

for high competition (which isn't the case), you should be getting back-links from relevant websites whether those be (web 2.0) properties, other relevant blogs, forums, etc.

#4: Your keyword if it is getting any searches, isn't even on the board. "Not enough data" is what Google Keywords has to say about the term "why do women cheat on their spouses". Check up on the SERP in a day or two, and I guarantee this post is #1 for it, if not already. It only has 8 results.

Head on over to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and do a search on keywords that get low monthly searches and try re-doing your article on that. You don't need an article as long as you've posted but either way, it's fine. If you only plan on doing one and one article only as the page content, I think you can get rid of the Blog archive :) and unless the About me is relevant to the website, I don't think you need that one either.

    So... let's summarize:

Step #1: Find a keyword getting searches and do a simple search in Google with "s around the search term. Example: "Keyword" not Keyword.
Step #2: When writing your content, make sure to include this keyword 1 time every 100 words at least. (Just don't over kill it).
Step #3: Only ping it once and get relevant back-links from websites/blogs/forums/web 2.0 properties such as Squidoo, Wetpaint, Bukisa and such.
Step #4: Stay away from BH Tools if you're trying to reach the top of a Bum Marketing type keyword.

There are other tips/tricks to dominating hundreds of thousands of results or even millions of competition but I think for now, let's stick to the basics.. Internet Marketing isn't one of those "learn to run before you can crawl" kind of places. Sure, people have had success doing so and jumping ahead, but to play it safe, we'll start with the above tips.

the problem is how do we monetize this now ?

The problem is, you have picked an obscure term( from a $$$ angle)What products are there related to the term or the "niche"..err..probably none.
Adsense..? will pull ads related to the subject, what ? dating sites :)

Or..it will pull low value "general" ads...
SEO may be king in your eyes...the proof is..you have used seo tactics to get a slice of nothing...
Start again...try a long tail search term using adwords suggestion tool for something people actually want...in the way of PRODUCT
