Why blank or fake the referer to iframed offers? Wouldn't you get banned anyway?

The referer to the second page of an offer should obviously always be the first page of the offer.

When blanking or faking the referer to an iframed cpa offer, the referer to the second page will not be the first page. This would be a dead giveaway that your leads are fraudulent.

So isn't blanking the referer as bad as not doing it? If they check the referer and see that it's not the first page of the offer, then the end result is the same whether it's blank or not....a ban.

I've probably missunderstood something so please elighten me with your wisdom.

    Thanks

when you blank the refer to the affiliate/offer page, they will not see where the traffic is coming from (if done right). I'm not sure what you mean by the 2nd page refer. If it's in an iframe, you're just concerned that your iframe page isn't exposed so you blank the refer to the page in the frame... but anything that is loaded from inside that frame won't leak your main pages refer. It's just the initial (first) page that needs to be DMR... think of the iframe as it's own window, so if they click on a link to goto the 2nd page, they'll see their own refer... i hope that makes sense.. lol

I think using prosper202 on your own hosting is much better then blanking/faking referer.
