I have spent the last several days trying to figure out the best way to create an anonymous Facebook ad account that does not get banned.

It is somewhat frustrating since some information is contradictory and incomplete. Personally, I am not even looking to try anything black hat. Privacy is my reason for wanting an anonymous Facebook ad account. If Facebook allowed people to advertise on the ad network without participating with the social network then it would be a non-issue for me.

Based on the information I have read there seems to be a consensus that Facebook will ban an account that is not aged at least one month and is not active daily. That means even if I had a Facebook account with my real information, it could still be banned from running ads if the account was not actively used.

As of this post there seems to be a ban-a-thon at Facebook to apparently combat the “fake news” phenomenon from the recent P.O.T.U.S. election.

Anyways, I am curious as to why there is such an effort into Facebook ads considering all the hoops you have to jump through? Is it the unparalleled ability to target demographically?

Facebook's main advantage is the billions of people who use it every day. Its ability to target anywhere demographically makes it better than other social media platforms.

While it's becoming a ban-haven for low-quality accounts, you need to be smart in order to swim through the harsh current they are giving everyone. Using Facebook Ads gives you the chance to reach a large pool of people within your niche and get them to show interest in the product/service you're making.

Play by the rules while making your ads to increase exposure, and awareness of your brand.
