Why are some sites so paranoid about DMCA notices that they take down content that they can't get in trouble over and there is like no risk of a lawsuit. Yet there are other sites that engage in massive criminal copyright infringement and they aren't worried and they've been operating for years.

For example the anon-ib sites remove content in their paycam section over some insignificant persons making dmca claims. Yet when it comes to sites like livetv.sx they don't care about the risks from streaming content from

NCAA
NFL
NBA
MLB
NHL
UFC
Europa League
Barclays Premier Leaguge

and various other major sporting organisations with big pockets.

If one can easily get away with that kind of content, there is nothing to worry about when people post pics from chaturbate models and filelocker links.

I would imagine that it depends on how safe the operators feel. They may live in a jurisdiction where they don't have to worry about U.S. laws, but what about their income stream? How will their advertisers/networks respond? Even if their revenue model does not depend on affiliate networks, the owners of the offending website may have investments and or accounts in the U.S. that they don't want tied up in litigation.

But the majority of the content is either not copryighted due to country it was produced in or the fact that it has no retail value. So there is really no risk involved in ignoring complaints by basically nobodies that are upset that someone saved their open to the public stream.
