Why are some comments Follow & No-Follow on the same blog page? Is it at random? I find that really annoying

Maybe a fault on the end of the admin. Most of the blogs that I have commented to are all Nofollow. I just comment and place my link there for the clicks not to share their PR.

Well I do know that you can tag individual links as either nofollow or ********... or you can set a like a default or blanket tag to set everything. I could be wrong here but maybe the admin is allowing ******** if you are actually contributing to the conversions by adding a quality comment. All the more reason to try and add something worthwhile and not just completely spam. It also helps your comment approval percentage.

Well... there are plugins available in the market which can be used by webmasters to selectively put nofollow tag with spam/semi-spam comments. I have seen on many good sites too.
