Why are so many BHW "businessman" scared to talk on the phone/move off telegram? Why are people scared of the phone?

I might get some hate for this but if you claim to be a business man but communicate only through BHW or telegram you're a complete joke.

All the time I meet people here trying to sell me stuff, I give them my whatsapp and tell them to call me and they either ask for telegram or just message me and refuse to pickup.

What is the issue with these guys? Are you afraid of talking to a human? Have you spent too much time on internet forums and turned into basement dwellers?

What happened to picking up the phone and getting sh*t done. I think the internet made people too comfortable being introverted weirdos.

It's crazy to me. Like you have a business and someone has questions and you direct them to a live chat or telegram. Why would anyone ever trust people like that especially when I'm considering buying a few thousand dollars worth of services.

Maybe I'm missing something here but if the service is legal what possible reason would someone have for not talking using normal apps?

You have a point, I would never order a service or move to TG as it looks weird and I feel the person has bad intentions especially since you can delete messages.

I'd stick to either BHW messages or like you said, a good old fashioned call. Calls wouldn't work for most services like eBooks though, maybe for SEO packages and GMB listings and account selling stuff it would work.

I'm a weirdo, I hate talking to humans, I don't call even my mom, I won't call a random foreign member of this forum with my shitty English

But I know that most people doing that are potentially scammers with good social skills but shady intentions
 
People prefer their anonymity. However I do believe once you have a working relationship with someone, then getting on a call with them shouldn't be a big deal.

Then they talk about sending money with crypto.

Everyone in the business world uses Stripe, PayPal

People may prefer to retain chat logs in case things go wrong, which is another consideration.

How do you report a dispute when there are no text conversations?

The caveat applies to both sellers and buyers.

However... in general, some may simply struggle with spoken English, but it is still about communication, and it doesn't have to be perfect.

The payment method is really just for convenience - at least, that’s how I see it. Whatever works best for you!

A lot of clients request payment with crypto, so I don’t think it’s necessarily about the seller in this case.

On BHW most people use crypto.

But if you meet a client outside of BHW and you say to that client that you want to pay with crypto it's weird and that would be a red flag.

Yes, mate, you’re absolutely right about working outside BHW. I mostly use PayPal for those clients too.

But we’re talking about the BHW client base here, right?

What happens on BHW stays on BHW! :D
 
Well i would pickup the phone but i prefer chat. Good for you that you like to call people but not everybody is the same. You dont hear me saying oh that guy does not like to talk to girls what a weirdo if that was me i would have talker to her in a minute. Everybody is different.
 
I believe its the lack of English spoken skills, got some experiences like that here as well, surprisingly. @Opulentos do get you. In business outside BHW, I never had a situation that someone didn't want to talk.

Personally, no matter the channel, I do prefer to start text conversation and keep it written. At the stage, where its a lot to be discussed, switching to talk is expected, time is a commodity.

Maybe an advice to guys not fluent in spoken English - don't be afraid to speak, you'll get comfortable with it sooner or later. Otherwise you're potentially loosing many opportunities. Well or maybe wait for an AI/tool for real time spoken translations. I didn't find it yet... :)

Bro.... Really? I supply goods for ecommerce lol. I can almost guarantee you don't have a succesful ecommerce business if you're not getting on the phone.

We do over $5,000,000 a year in sales and my ENTIRE life is spent attending tradeshows in person, meeting with new suppliers, negotiating prices with our vendors on the PHONE, building relationships with vendors on the PHONE.

Like dude if you don't want to get on the phone and negotiate please call me up as a supplier. I love people like you who can't speak and don't negotiate my prices.

This people is my point - it's CRAZY.

Your competitors literally can't even talk on a phone. Look at this guy above who claims he loves ecommerce because you don't need to speak. I can guarantee if this guy actually had a ecommerce business that was doing a lot of volume i could make a PHONE CALL and get all his pricing down from all his vendors.

PICK UP THE PHONE PEOPLE
 
Zoom all the way (or Slack in some rare cases). I need to put a face on that voice. Tg, skype and similar are for people who do IM as a side hobby to make some bucks.

you can do that already but you need to combine several ai models and you need good hardware for real-time translation :)
 
Actually a good point, very hard for me to sell over the phone since english is not my first language, phone calls give me anxiety.

With that said, i have never seen anyone successful financially that is afraid of calls or 1-1 commucation, so that's def something I need to work on.

Bingo. I can tell you will be very successful if you're not already. You recognized that phone calls give you anxiety and in the next sentence you already admitted you want to work on it.

This is what is going to separate you from every other guest post service. You're already taking steps in the right direction.
