Hey, I've been using scrapebox lately, and ive noticed A LOT of people commenting on Wordpress blogs (obviously) but NuFollow... Why would people even do that? Does it make any sense to comment on a Nufollow blog?
    What am i missing?

Smart SEOs know that what is said about nofollow not having any value is a big lie.

nofollow* links are still useful for SERPs, maybe they carry less weight (I'm not even 100% convinced that is the case), maybe they do not pass PR (again, not 100% sure), but they do help you raise in SERPs, it's been proven time and time again.

When you read conflicting conclusions, the best thing to do is just test it on your own. Even if there appears to be a consensus, your own testing might give different results. This applies to many things in general, not just SEO. ;)

so i should buy two domains, blast one with nofollow and the other one with the same amount of ****************? have duplicate content on them (i know... it sucks, but that would make sure google doesn't do difference in onpage) and then see whichone ranks better?

Ideally, you would test one variable at a time, so having identical content on the sites is not a bad idea for this test. You could just copy/paste some EZA or Wikipedia stuff. The thing is, the domain names will different, and they can have a significant effect on rankings. Domain age is also a factor.

I never got into the blog commenting thing, so I can't say whether it "works" or not, but in my opinion, you should have a good mix of n0f0110w/d0fo110w links from a variety of sources because it looks more natural. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about the whole n0f0110w/d0fo110w debate. What's important -- again, this is just my opinion -- is to focus on ranking for decent-traffic/low-competition keywords. That's what I do, and it continues to serve me well.

A link is a link is a link!! You'll find plenty of no-follow links showing up. Just keep your head down and link w/o worrying about do-follow/no-follow. That just eats up time that could be better spent elsewhere...

A link that is a n0folllow is valuable in the sense that google sees a natural set of backlinks as opposed to a footprint of solely d0follow comments. There may or may not be link juice but you want some n0follow in your backlinking structure.

Nofollow links haven't really given any SERPs benefits to my sites but I still build them because of what BassTrackerBoats said.

Have you ever come to a site from google search and the word you are looking for is at comment, then you click the link?

NoFollow links also provide excellent cover for your DF links from other link spammers.
I LOVE finding link profiles that are only DF because its a lot less work for me...

test with 2 urls that have no significance at all to the key words. i.e. if you wanting to rank for "iphone cases" use two test urls like asdf3g.com and asdf2.com , niether will have any significance on you serps. Even if you rank better with your ****************, any ranking at all on a new blog with only nofollow will be an interesting piece of info.

it doesn't look natural if all you have are Do Follow backlinks
