Hey guys.

I've been using unique article wizard to submit variations of unique content articles that I have written myself. Each one providing a back link to my site.

The problem is that many of my articles are ranking higher then my page for my keyword. And its not competitive at all.

I only started using UAW 4 days ago, do I just have to wait a bit before my page jumps up in rank? Or is something funny going on.

Yeah those sites usually tend to have more authority/trust to google than a new site. Your sites might get up the first weeks (because of the new domain) and bang getting down (sandboxed). So keep slowly building backlinks to your site and watch your rankings.

Article sites, particularly ezinearticles and goarticles have a lot of authority and rank very highly.

If your site is new, it's not surprising that they're outranking you unless you have a kw rich domain i.e. computerdeals.c0m for the term computer deals.

Many of those article sites have been around for years, have a good internal link structure, thousands of incoming links, social bookmarking etc.

Continue to build links to your page/site from a number of different sources i.e. social bookmarking, directories, link swapping with people in your niche etc. In particular make sure your onpage seo is sorted out i.e. title tags, meta, internal linking structure, outbound links etc etc.

Then comes the waiting bit.

Which is why I never submit articles with keywords that directly compete with my own sites.

I agree a lot with infomycin. When I submit articles they may be in the same niche or slightly broader niche as my site but I also make sure that those articles don't compete with my sites main keywords. Also when linking back to your site, don't always link back with the same keyword. Use synonyms or related keywords. I got nailed on this when I first started. Using the same exact keyword to backlink to your site can cause your site to look over optimized and possibly get a little penalized too. Just my personal experience, without knowing exactly what you are doing I can't say for sure.
