There was an update a while ago. Anyone can make threads, but only Jr. VIPs and Marketplace Sellers can comment.

thanks for the explanation. Kinda dumb if you ask me, how you supposed to answer frequently asked questions from potential freelancers?

This was done to make the freelancer section a safer place to do business. I beleive the main principal is to stop standard members from offering their services.

@davids355 pretty much summarised it. We had a problem with yellow members, usually previously banned members, joining the forum and doing business the same day. Those who lack common sense did business with them, got scammed, and started whinging because of it.

It was a great update, although it was unfortunate for those legitimate yellow members in that section who were starting out in IM. I was actually one of those yellow members back when I joined the forum, and @davids355 was the first member I did business with here using that section. I wanted to see what it was like doing business on the forum, so when I saw he posted a thread in the HAF section, I took the job. It was a great introduction to doing business on the forum.
