Google loves old domains.. Also it doesn't look like a spam site when you create a domain and all the sudden you are getting 500+ backlinks per day..

There are a few sites out there which listed all parked(old) domains for sale.. Off the top of my head I don't remember the web address. Hopefully someone knowledgeable can chime in.

Would searching in deletedomains.c0m help you find some good ones?

Of course, you may still want to check out archive.0rg and perhaps any whois records.

I am hoping to learn more about this too :)

I'm not sure if I am following you here, but if you are looking for aged domains (definitely ideal when dealing with Google), you can buy / bid on them through tdnam.c0m. Before doing this, I like to browse freshdr0p.net (you can sort by age) to see what is out there. Definitely do your homework if you find one you like - don't assume the freshdr0p data is correct.

    Hope that helps!

I use domain research tool to find domains and found a few old ones without even really searching for them. It pulls data from archive.org
I found a .com from 1997 with all the other extensions taken .net .org .info .us and so on. It has already paid for itself having it parked.
