After that silly thread of that guy I felt compelled to chip in my 2 cents. I wanted to share some words of wisdom with you coming from a guy that was actually homeless for a decade and I also achieved to do that on 2 continents. (long story) Anyway, what if I told you that making $100 per day is more than enough to live in 95% of the world's countries! Why Making $100 Per Day Is an Awesome Good Goal! I can't hear what some of you are saying as I'm not a telepathic mind-reader but don't save it, I'd would love to hear your feedback. Let's calculate. $100/day and how much that really is. That's give or take $3k a month, that's awesome man! I live in NL Europe so if I convert that to euro's it comes down to €2687,10. The net average in my country as of 2019 is €2041,64 or $2293.28. Now remember, my country is considered one of the top tiered countries in Europe plus we have the highest taxes on pretty much everything in the world so if you don't live here you would pay less taxes and therefor have more money left. So that's pretty bad ass! On your own you earned above what is average in a top tiered country! Let's be honest, was it all profit? Depends on how you specified that $100, before or after expenses but let's take your salary from your regular job, was that all profit? Nope, still have to pay the same bills and taxes and therefor, depending on where you live and what type of person you are there will be still plenty left to have a good life and you still earned more than the average so you did good! If you're smart and you're flying, take an overnight flight! I mean, maybe it's the Dutch in me but I like to pay as little as possible for anything so I have more for myself. “Bro I don’t live in the US/Canada/UK/Germany/WHATEVER, the standard of living is way cheaper here” First off, if you want to call me "bro" it's all good! You can refer to me as whatever. For the people that do know me, most of my threads are actually towards helping people and not some cocky, bad attempt to score some kudo's for a course I might release on how to be successful. If you want to do that, just be upfront with it (meant to everyone) Speaking of which, I wrote a thread about how to fail less as yeah, I've made my share of mistakes and still making em. Retirement Although I hate to admit it, taking care of this is the wise thing to do, me on a personal lvl DGAF (which I will explain in a moment) but you should. So from that current $3k/mo set some aside every month, let's say about $500 which will also serve as a buffer if you unexpectedly need money. From my observation most of you are in their 20's, some before 20's a buch of 30's and everything after that but most of you are young so that's about $6k a year, you at least have 10-20-30-40 years left so do the math, plus I hope by that time you already got some more knowledge and already increased that $3k/mo. Now the reason idgaf about retirement is pure due to my past. As said, I have been homeless over a decade in my life, been incarcerated, seen many people die from young ages, seen how life is in tier 1, 2 and 3 countries, I live my life day by day. I don't expect to grow really old and even if I will, I'm pretty sure far before that I already achieved my goals.(which I will also tell a bit about in this thread) But yeah, for most of you, setting up retirement is the right thing to do! What Is Average? So this one guy said So what is considered an average life? IMO people have been poisoned on what is considered average. For example, I've got to learn some amazing people over the years and pretty much not only did they own more money than me, they are also earning more money than me. A couple of them are considered in IM terms "super affiliates" but IMO most people have a wrong idea about super affiliates. They think that all super affiliates are on YT, showing off their super sports car, armani suits, going to exotic places all the time.. this is not the case! Tbh, the guys that do that, which I'm totally fine with because I wish everyone success but then starting to show off to get attention are idiots in my eyes. Anway, you would be surprised how much of an "average"life these super affiliates have. Waking up, eat breakfast(OMG so spectacular), check their mail, handle their business and work, eat lunch, pick up the kids from school, bring them to foodball practice, attend their kids school play, have dinner, go to the gym, throw their kids to bed, get their ass in the lazy boy watching the game, go to bed and wake up. The only thing that is different they get to do it in a more luxury way. What is exactly wrong with it? Nothing! Now there is nothing wrong to use your money to travel around the world, shit, I got a whole route planned for myself but I choose not to engage in relationships and have kids and once I'm on my way I wont be bragging or showing off. All these people that do that in my eyes are the real idiots and not the ones that set their first goal at $100 a day. Ok back on track! That $100/day Might Not Last.. What does though? Besides the Universe and my awesomeness(jk) what does really last? What if a huge comet pops up from behind our sun? What if while reading all this you die? What if if if.. Shiiitt, fuck those type of ifs! So, you were earning $100/day, some people don't seem to realize that that $100/day didn't show up out of nowhere after you woke up one day and took a shit. To contrary believes, achieving $100/day is not easy! Unless you got extremely lucky (less than 1%) you already tried several things, failed, lost money testing out all kinds of tools, services, became frustrated etc. What you were really doing was developing skills and knowledge, understanding the grasp of Internet Marketing. So after all that failure, frustration, losing fucking money, thinking tons of time "well fuck this whole IM BULLSHIT!!!" YOU did not gave up even though the majority of people that try IM fail and give up after 1-2 attempts. All I can say to those that didn't give up, YOU ARE FUCKING AWESOME!!! You earned my deepest respect for sure even more if you are not from a tier 1 country because it's often a lot harder to achieve success from certain tier 2 and most tier 3 countries than sitting comfortably talking down to people from some cosmopolitan city as Toronto. By now you already figured out on your own instead of some nitwit telling you, that IM is a fast pacing branch. Shit changes all the time, social media changes all the times, life changes all the time. Did that ever stopped all marketers? Hell no, at this point even though many are failing the amount of marketers keeps growing. Why is that? Because it doesn't work? My point is, it doesn't matter if the market goes into a recession, your offer dies off, you SEO KW drops, instead of complaining about it and let it get to you just say "fuck it!" and move on! You have proven yourself you can make money so you can do it again! And this time it might come faster or it could even take a lot longer but you already know it's possible! What I'm trying to drill into your skull is you need to be prepared for anything. During the 2008 recession the ones that got fucked are the ones that didn't came prepared. Buying that house, boat, jetski and super car on loans. All wanted to act like something they were not, showing off, boasting their crap, kinda like some marketers. Change Your Thinking Often when you want to do IM you have to change your thinking but how and what about? First off, forget about all these idiots that feel the need to show off how much money they have. Anyone that constantly does that is A an attention whore and B they just want to convince you how easy it all is to achieve all of that if you just buy their supah duppa awesome course.. Even though I already explained this in many of my threads and also explained it in replies on other threads, IM is hard! It will take a lot of failure, frustration, often money, dealing with idiots and then on top of that it can take quite a long time till you ever see that first dollar. This is something you just need to accept and let go otherwise you will be just a statistic. This I already explained at the end of my sticky which is by now just over a year old but what I said about it hasn't changed. Something that really shouldn't be said as for me it's the logical thing to do but I will still put it out there, don't get comfortable!!! Again, if you were able to manage to reach $100/day what is stopping you to scale it up?? You already know it's working!! Scale it up, duplicate and twist it, you already know it's possible. Also which seems to be a big issue, don't start acting like a king all of a sudden, stay humble, don't go all of sudden buy a rolex in the beginning, new Nike Air Max every week, down payment on a sports car. My advice is literally save everything!! Pay your bills, the groceries, insurances and save the rest. Scale what is working now while always trying out new things, search for long term investments (maybe some land, real estate) and always pay with what you know you can afford to lose. Which in IM is an unwritten rule and always keep it in mind: Never spend money on anything you can't afford to lose! I did plenty of that in my lifetime and believe me, it wasn't pretty! Start Thinking Bigger! Start Thinking Smarter! There is nothing wrong to set goals, dreams no matter the amount or size as long as you follow through. Although in my opinion, set realistic goals when you start out. I see threads with titles as "my journey to $10k a month", My journey to "$100k by the end of the year". In general there is nothing wrong with setting these kind of goals but often the people that set these goals are total newbies in IM! Then by the time they find out that what they were trying to do is a lot harder than what some idiot with flashy thumbnails, a good talk and engraved custom rims on his sports car on YT made them believe, they get extremely disappointed and you never hear from them. The journey thread is full with people you never hear again. A lot of these "guru's" on YT will tell you how they had a bad upcoming.. while for the majority of them the upcoming was they didn't had rich parent. Well hey shithead! Welcome to the real world, most people grow up without rich parents! Also a lot of them had a pretty good job before they started in IM so they already had substantial money to invest. So take it from me, a guy who actually had a fucked up shitty past, knows how it is to live with the absolute minimum and still create something, stay true to yourself, set realistic goals to start, persevere and you can achieve great things too. Again,Why $100/day Journeys/Dreams Are Awesome! I also want to finish with this. Why $100/day threads are awesome is very simple! It's a realistic goal to start with and it's already hard enough to get there. Why start with a $10k/mo goal if you can't even reach $100/day?? Makes no sense to me. Another reason why it's awesome is because not only are you finding out it's actually possible and then can work towards bigger goals you're also motivating and showing others that it is possible and as I said in the beginning, in many countries you can live like a boss with $100/day even after all the bills, taxes etc. Even smaller goals can boast your motivation and confident a lot! For example, set a $10/day goal. If you can achieve that you already know it was actually possible to make money and then gradually scale up and move to bigger things Shit, I have lived for a long time of only $1200 a month and that is being in a top tiered country where everything is expensive and not only that, from that money I also bought tools, domains, hosting, all I needed. Sure, I haven't had bought new clothes in a year but I really DGAF about these things but all I'm saying, things are possible! It's all about priorities and a lot of marketers got their priorities fucked up! Which reminds me now I'm reading the preview, I would say what my goals are for anyone that is interested. My goal isn't to earn a certain amount really, my goal isn't to show off expensive shit which I think has partially to do with age and character but I guess my goals are slightly different than most marketers. One common goal I have with a lot of guys though is traveling. Even though I did my fair share of traveling the world is a big place. So yeah, I wan't to travel a bit more to meet a bunch of people I got to know from BHW and other places. Help some people along the way with IM, Enjoy nature, architecture and just the divers cultures. The end goal however might seem funny to most but isn't that big ass luxurious house with a pool and a badass car in front of the door, I actually want to buy some land and build a self sustainable place when it comes to food and electricity. Have some pets and animals, build maybe a treehouse, a yurt and enjoy nights at a campfire with my pets and maybe some like minded people, get more in touch on a spiritual level instead of on a materialistic level. Unfortunately to reach that simplistic lifestyle I first need to work my ass off and give up a lot of things but I already know it will be worth it. Let me quickly write one more thing that doesn't last and this I know from my own successes as well as talking to super affiliates. The high of a rich lifestyle won't last, crack your brain about that thought In Conclusion So that's about all I have to say about it. Hate it, love it, I'm fine anyway. I know people who made it for themselves from all continents on the planet who achieved various goals they set, if they can do it, so can you! ps:even though with a net-worth of $450 million, Kevin O'Leary is a cunt!
