So iv made an adult website that finishes in co.uk and naturally wanna hide my details from prying eyes. I tried to update my godaddy domain with the whois privacy thing but i dont get the option. Anyone have any experience of making a .co.uk site details private? Really appreciate any help as its holding me back from sending traffic.

Also a bit of a noob question but what lightbox plugin do yous feel is best to get the "previous" and "next" arrows for my picture galleries? My site is responsive and im looking for a light one that wont slow anything down on a mobile etc

    Cheers

It is up to the actual registrar whether they offer the opt-out on .co.uk, we use 123-reg and they do for domains registered to individuals but others wont offer the service. Don't know if you can contact Nominet directly and ask them if there is a way - however they may then question why you are not registering a money making domain/site to a business name.

As for responsive/mobile compatible lightbox - a client uses "Responsive Lightbox by dFactory" sucessfully on their WP site

Godaddy do not offer privacy on .co.uk and you cannot change the details on their end for the registrant.

Set up a fake name with corresponding email address and go directly to the nominet site and change the details there using the corresponding fake email. You sign over control to the fake email, best alternative.

.co.uk do not come with privacy option.

You can ask Nominet to remove your details completely, but that option is available only for non-commercial websites.

You guys think i could make up a account on godaddy or any other registrar like 123reg with a fake name and address and transfer the domain over? Wondering if the domain would transfer from the account i have there to the fake one without any issues. Thanks
