is anybody interested in sharing public proxies ?
by this i mean public proxies that have been scraped and tested
    not just scraped proxies.

I am starting a small group to share public proxies that have been scraped AND TESTED.
these proxies will only be shared amongst the group.

this is because of the enormous length of time it takes to TEST scraped proxies, and i thought it might be an idea if a few people who were scraping + testing + using public proxies might as well share them amongst a small group, that way we all get fresh new proxies especially as they only last a very short period and it would save have to continuously scrape for new ones all the time.

preferably the group would be from around the world - this would mean getting a more varied selection of proxies as they would be scraped at different times

this would be free - but you would have to do your part and contribute, by sharing your scraped TESTED proxies with the rest of the group
you dont have to do it every day, but it will be self evident who is contributing and who is not

(by tested i mean recently tested working google proxies - not just scraped proxies that probably dont work)

if you are interested please pm me or leave a post

this is because of the enormous length of time it takes to TEST scraped proxies?

i have every scraper and tester under the sun - by this i mean anyone can scrape
and test public proxies in 20 mins and the most PUBLIC scrape proxies working
at anytime of the day is never more than 4/6k - anyone can scrape a bunch of
urls in scrapebox in 2-3 mins - leech the urls in a couple of mins
then test them in bleech in about 10 mins. its not hard or difficult its also not
time consuming. 20 mins is easy . but its also why public scraped proxies are
poor because everyone with a scraper is scraping and testing the same proxies
which is why they die so very very fast . so i tested the theory again

1 min 28 seconds to scrape 1000 no dupe scraping links
5.mins 30 mins to scrape the proxies from the urls giving 13k proxies
3 mins to filter dupes/dangerous through charon down to 6k
4 mins to test 6k in bleech and got 2438 working .

and i guarantee you within 30 mins or less half this list will be dead
because in the time it took me to scrape and test them, thousands of
other users around the world will be doing the same thing .

no just stating its not time consuming to scrape public proxies
the thing your over looking is - at any given time of the day theres
never anymore than 5k or so working public proxies no matter how
many people you have scraping it wont be much over 5k.

as i just showed 13k down to 6k down to 2.4k working in 12 mins
problems is everyone who owns a scraper around the world and
theres thousands of people will have done the same thing meaning
those 2.4k will be over half dead within 15/30 mins dead.

this is the reason i stopped scraping proxies 4 yrs ago and went to
port scanning proxies because scraping them isnt worth the time to
get them against how long they will last . for me anyways
    but GL.

no, i actually agree with you,
but the (small) point was that it would help (just slightly) if there was more than 1 person/scraper/machine whatever doing the scraping - whatever
they are only ever going to last a very short period of time.
but if more than 1 person was getting (working) proxies then it would obviously help.
sharing these proxies between a few people would give the group (whatever) more proxies to work with and hopefully fresh new proxies.

i did not say it was anywhere near a perfect solution or anything of the sort, it is just a way that would/might improve a situation.

hay go for it - the only tip i can offer is to say it will be pointless
having multiple people scanning at the same time as you will
    just be killing them

Rather than scraping public proxies (this is what everyone does and therefore everyone has the same proxies; you end up with abused and slow proxies).

You would rather want to automate whole process. This is how I've it done. There is a total solution available for linux which allow you to automate a process of mass port scans on autopilot that does everything 24/7/365 for your just using one tool.

I can hear the OP he is looking for something like this to get a better proxies.

spill the beans then - what is the software that automates everything ???

    btw
i used to buy private proxies, then the company i was buying from stopped doing it, and i stopped using them anyway, i started again by using public proxies, noticed it was time consuming, hence the above post.

the perfect solution would be to have 1,000 private proxies on 1,000 c classes and automatically have 1,000 new ones added every week, but most people are'nt at that point, i just thought that some people might be interested in a little help, it doesnt need to end world poverty, just contribute to making things a bit easier - thats it.

    many thanks

what nix is try to do is sell you his proxy scanning software
which is not what this thread is about NIX.
the guy wants to get a few people together to collect proxies
he did not say at any point i wanna spend 70$ on some software.

your changing the point of the thread. because if that was the
case i would have given him my custom version of proxyfire which
only 2-3 people have and it doesn't work the same as the down loadable
version because it was the beta version wink - your not the only one to
have made software we been doing that since 2003. so ille repeat nix
the guy isnt after a purchase . so quit it already
