    Hello everybody,
I work at an art gallery, held by 2 painters. I`m responsible for the marketing. Until now I`ve made their Facebook and Instagram profiles and have been managing them. There is some result, but since I browse BHW all day long for different methods (beside my job in the gallery) I wanted to share with you this money making option. I know there are all kinds of people here, who would think of interesting ways to sell our paintings. You can resell them for whatever price you want, for us it`s important that we receive the price we`ve put in our website. What do you think? www.yameliev.com

    Best regards,
    Monika

    Russians are poor
If you want to make more money you need to create an English website that looks sexy and ranks for large keywords.
Im pretty sure many Russians know some English anyways. Doing this will allow you to target people who can spend more money and increase your profits. If you have questions feel free to ask.

edit: You could multiply your prices by 10 with an english site easily
edit: sorry i mean bulgarian :p

Thats not the point. So we sell it for more then it's listed. You think that buyers are stupid? They cant Google and find a price thats less then ours?

It's bulgarian btw, and yes they are even poorer :D
OP create social media profiles, start growing audience, create a website in English and then money will start rolling in.

It`s a bulgarian site. There is an english site, but we have to upload all of the painting there, since when I started working nobody took cary of that site so it`s kind of empty.
    BGN to USD is 0.538.
Have you heard of dropshipping? It`s basically what I`m asking you to do. I`m sure people can google, but there are plenty of dropshippers who do the same thing and somehow have profit and people buy their stuff without googling it :) WHAT IS MORE: People can`t google it, since it`s in bulgarian and I doubt someone will figure this out so they find the real price. But if this really will make a difference we can do it as affiliate marketing and not dropshipping :) We can raise the prices of all painting by 10% in the website and when a buyer comes from you you will get that 10%. The difference between dropshipping and why I first proposed dropshipping is that you can sell it for the price you want, with affiliate we can`t give more than 10-12% for each picture.

In the first post I mentioned I`ve made some profiles in the social networks, I even grow the Instagram one with MassPlanner, so it goes well. I thought of BHW as an additional source of selling the paintings, not as only solution :)

Interested in dropshipping, however there are some questions:

    1. How much is shipping, how long does it take, will there be a tracking number?
    2. All the info on your website is in Bulgarian language, which I do not understand, so in order to promote your paintings I would need English description.
    3. As I never sold paintings before I will just have to figure out how and where to promote, because advertising methods I normally use won't work here

As above, I would suggest you open a JV here and set up an arrangement for someone in uk or us to dropship, start a uk/us site and promote the art there - then you can legitimately increase the price.

You could list them on eBay / Amazon and some niche art sites as well.

Post on social media etc. I think art is pretty hard to sell because anyone and everyone can paint so unless you have a unique style or have a name for yourself you are competing with a lot of other artists.

Still, the art on the site looks pretty decent. Good luck.

This might be a dumb idea, but hasn't been mentioned (and maybe theres a reason why), but have you tried Etsy?

I know my fiancé is going to be opening an Etsy art shop and is going to be promoting her art via Social Media, website, Niche message boards, etc etc..

The good thing about art that I've noticed is that (like most things in life I suppose) there is ALWAYS going to be SOMEONE who finds your art, at your price, and says "Omg yes, that's beautiful, that's perfect, I'm buying it".. you will almost always be able to find someone (promoted to people in the niche of course) who will like your work and will pay that price. To some people, $200 for a specific painting might be ridiculous, while to others that $200 for that painting is a steal. It's all relative.

Good luck in your journey and keep us updated. I unfortunately can't resell for you as I'll be reselling for my fiancé, but I can offer tips and advise on properly marketing and promoting your work.
