Its Malaysia :p unless you like it hot and sticky.. then avoid both countries.

try Australia or New Zealand, both are great for a summer holiday.

Don't go to the tourist spots in Australia and you will find it cheap and more exciting :) We don't even holiday here in the tourist zones !!

As I'm planning to stay 3-4 months I'll definetely don;t go in tourists spots or I'll be forced to rob banks to get money for retuning home :D

If you can help me with some links with cheap studios rentals in Australia will be great .Thanks

If I look myself as a foreigner I always get expensive places for tourists or 1st timers.

Come to sunny Canada! We just broke the September record of 33 degrees cel. in Alberta.

I am going to the Phil for a month in December/Jan. After that, Mexico!

am thinking the same thing. a warm sunny place that is cheap for a few months to kitesurf and work. phuket would probably be good. not sure if there is fast reliable internet though.

some sources for apts include craigslist.org, maybe gumtree, also try the forums at lonely planet.

btw, I spent a few months in 'sunny' ireland this summer. I fell your pain. Crap weather and expensive too.

I've been to Thailand in the rainy season. It all came in short sharp bursts of warm rain, and that only happened 3 or 4 times (I was out there for the whole of october 2005)

Your money goes so much further in Thailand. If you make $50 a day, you can have a good life. This is why I'm moving there sometime in the next few months, and planning to stay for as long as the money holds out.

Bali is where you wanna be if you want it to be sunny with mild rains. I'd love to recommend PH but hot damn the typhoons right now are crazy here.

It's raining hard as hell here in manila, right at this very moment.

    LOL
