Last time there were very good downloads. I think 15 posts per User are to less. The number of entries per user, to download these files should be raised. I also have seen some new users who just spam postings in order to download the files

I would say between 30-40 postings or paying 25US too Blackhatworld.

And if the user is the number of entries has reached or paid, he received a request for a Admin, so he will be released. The admin must control the entries in spam or not.

This forum is also something of high quality. With this rule, it would certainly be

i think some kind of time limitation before download would work better.
Like you have to be member here for at least one week, or two weeks+number of posts.

This is also a very good idea. Should influence. But what I find very important that the new member a request with a super moderator face. He should check that this user also made useful postings. It is not just 15 postings being made, and then he can already download

Here are the download requirements that I propose:

    1) Be a member of the forum for 3-7 days
    2) Make 30 QUALITY posts/replies
    3) Have a moderator review his/her posts for quality before manually approving/disapproving download status.

It might be a little tedius on the Mods' part, I know, but it will weed out the freeloaders and sPam artists.

I think that is a little bit too restrictive, i guess i do not have 30 quality posts for instance.
On the other hand, we don't want this forum to be like a bunch of selfish people not sharing with others and so on.
I think we should be open to new members, and in the same time have some mechanism to prevent spam and useless posts.

What I meant by "quality posts" was something other than: "yeah", "cool", "neat", and "hmm, I didn't know that...".

On second thought, I think you're right. I think eliminating the required # of posts altogether sounds like a good idea. Just require new users to wait a certain number of days (anywhere from 3-7) before they can download stuff. That will cut help back on the useless spam posts. If people are required to stick around that long, they'll eventually contribute something to the forum anyway while they wait :)

I agreed. though I rarely post ( joined months ago, but just starting to post ).
The main reason for me coming to this forum is to learn and keep learning. I am a n00b who just wanted to learn from seniors whom are willing to share their knowledge and resources.

I am struggling to made a living online, having tried numerous ways and spending on useless products out there...until I reach here to find some no-nonsense practical tactic.

Please don't restrict n00b like me to reach valuable resources...

This is where a time limit will be effective, as opposed to a 15-post minimum :D Let's encourage new users to contribute to the forum, not require them to.

We don't want every n00b off the street just walkin in and suckin up all the bandwidth from our available download sources. The forum could also benefit from any worthwhile information you have to offer -- while you wait ;)

So, yeah, a time limit and maybe just require that they introduce themselves on the forum.

    Bump.

And for the record, I like Omex's idea as well: being able to bypass a waiting period or post requirements by paying $$ to BHW.

I agree, the download section should be more protected, since there are so many hot products in there

No. Why would you limit it? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Thanks for everyone suggestions. I have raised the post limit to 25 posts before anyone can download and this might increase to 30-40 posts. I will also see if it is possible to implement an automatic 3-7 day wait period. Right now it would be too tedious to manually approve everyone. I don't want to make the forum to restrictive to people...I just want to keep out the moochers.

As the forum grows in popularity, the moochers will always come around regardless. Sad thing is there are people out there that do not know any other way of getting software, scripts, etc. unless they download them from a forum. They couldn't do a google or bit torrent search to save there life. Post limit is a good idea, but that will just bring on another problem of post "spammers" with the typical "nice post", "thank you", "blah blah blah I hardly speak english so I will use that as my excuse". I know some people have stated there dislike for this, but it could be a lot worse. They could impliment a private members section which is even harder to get an invite to. Only then could the select group of people have access to the private posts which would contain downloads. So to others reading this and getting ready to bitch and moan about 25, 30, 40 post minimum, chances are you probably shouldn't be here then, but hey I am only human so I could be wrong.

Even as i'm new on this forum, i agree that they should be a time period, and also a post amount, maybe 25 is a bit to high, say somthing like 15 posts and a min of 3 weeks. I really enjoy the tips that I have picked up and hopefully I can also add some positive post to the forum.

i do not see how you consider you are being punished, as a rule of thumb in every forum you should try to add some value to it before asking for something or downloading something, and you fell irritated that there is a post limit?

You joined yesterday and have 22 posts already and you don't want to spam anybody? Well if you don't want to spam us, then WTF are you doing now then? It's not punishment, it's a way to try and get people to stay and actually make the forum grow, not punish you because you want something and you want it right this very second. If that is the case then learn to google search for the damn software/scripts.
