I am simply curious, let's face it, even from skittles Psys 3 billion views would have cost $750,000 if I'm not mistaken. Their companies definitely have their own bots so perhaps that's the case.

Youtube is just so saturated with mega views, the public doesn't consider you much good if you're any lower. I take care of some music clients and 1 millions plays aren't what they used to be, and I obviously don't have $750k on me.

    I would appreciate your thoughts.

youtube is the best place for faking urself out. everything is a sham, by nature hypocritical and false; all successful users(Unless they happen to be already established in some other spheres in real life) are attention-seeking youths who can buy their way out and can spend hundreds of hours watching themselves flying high in false sky. So for celebs they dont rely on only one service they use diffrent services for each of their videos so that the view count never stops ticking in a make-believe but viral manner. I have checked out the stats of many youtubers which these days they like to hide and it's evident that they take help from several service providers

The same thing is in my mind from past so much time. But as you saying they have own bots,i dont think so.PSY has become so much famous that spending money on views(if he did),wont be a big issue to him.
Whosoever gave him views, would have gained a lot of $$'s in very short time :D

he is saying that production companies that put videos like gangam style on youtube have a black budget for adding views.

unless your name is Justin Bieber/Timberlake, Rihanna, Madonna etc it's gonna be pretty damn hard for you to get your video seen even if it's the best thing that ever happened to the music industry.

thing is that people are bombarded with information from every direction so it's hard to sort it all out... if i have 5000 facebook friends and each share a song ... am i gonna listen to every song they share ? noooooo hell no!

i think that the strategy behind PSY was 'let's make an idiotic video with a nice hook or catch phrase and just add views to it... sooner or later some news agency is gonna say <<hey idiots..check out what this idiot is doing on youtube and check out how many idiots have already seen what this idiot is doing>> and we'll see how it goes from there'

how many times have you heard or read the phrase 'check out this video.. it gained 1.000.000 views over night!' ?

It is unfortunate but we know whining about it solves nothing.

Thank you all for your input by the way. It does appear Offline marketing is where it always has been...and where it still is. Online, you can spend so much money (we're talking $xxxx.xx and that's for starters) just to get above water, but the ones who have more $$$ to begin with will keep beating you silly.

It does make good business for the seller, however, where does it lead when all that's pushed is stupid crap nobody actually cares for? Sellers of these services may not realize this but...they're helping to mold what the public idolizes.
I purchase faux views/subs/comments/likes ect, anyone who thinks they can get recognized solely online without them is mistaken. They might someday but how much time, tears, heart and soul before that happens?
