I live really super close, Melbourne, FLorida, rent is anywhere from $440-$1200, Easier to buy a house now here as a 3 bedroom 2 bath 1500 sqft house built in 2005 is $50k.....
that said, it is fun, just you need to make sure your good at working online because if you are not the only jobs available are for $5.00/hour....you would be stuck not enjoying yourself....

I live in virginia beach, but its certainly not the nicest place around. I like it here, but I cant promise you will. The beach is not very nice as far as beaches go. If you want to live on the beach, you have to drop a few mil on a house. But you can get an apartment a few miles away for cheap. Also its not warm here as much as most beach locations.. Water doesn't get that warm either.. If I were you I would leave the US and go to Jamaica or something, thats what I'm gonna do in about 2 years. IMO Caribbean beats anywhere in the US.

    There's no way you'd find a 3 bedroom, 2 bath for $50k.

It's a sunny day in Myrtle Beach, SC!
I live in Myrtle Beach, SC...a 30 second walk and I'm on the beach. Rent on my townhome is $800 + utilities. (These units sell for $150k+). It stays fairly warm here most of the year, but not as warm as FL.

The beach is your average east coast US beach. I live in the "party" section of MB...although there are some areas more north or south that are more family oriented.

Also, while tourists flock here between March-Septemeber, its pretty much a ghost town for the rest of the year.

Why don't you just learn some spanish.. it's not that hard from what I hear. I been there a few times and loved it everytime I was there. Yea the language barrier does get annoying but everything else is perfect. Are you living in the city or near the beaches. I didn't find the city boring at all

I was born and raised in Newport Beach, Ca. You can find a pad for 2K a month in this area

I live in San Diego, $2,000 a month will definitely get you something decent, and close to the beach. If you want to live ON the beach, rent is probably a little more than that for anything larger than a 2 bedroom.

It's warm pretty much year round, the beaches are awesome, San Bernardino isn't too far away (if you like snowboarding) but the traffic gets crappy sometimes.
