I was just wasting time in my google webmaster tools account and I noticed I still had a bunch of shit links incoming. Lots of stat sites/who.is sites also. I went to work with the disavow tool....no idea if that will do anything or not but it was worth the try right?

    So I was thinking...
Should I just get a list of all the who.is sites like maybe the 3,000 or so nohands seo uses and just go ahead and disavow all of them?

What are your thoughts on the disavow tool?

I never use it, it's more out of principle that i am not going to assist Google with pointing out to what i think are the bad neighborhoods of the internet, if they want me to do that they should be paying me and i am not cheap :)

Also it shows Google that you have been doing stuff against their holy TOS so what stops them from tanking your site anyway? It's not that they are playing by their own rules, now are they?

Just follow their guide if you want do disavow all links from a certain domain (domain:badseo.com) and go ahead.

I had I website with manual penalty (unnatural link building), after I removed 70% of the bad links, did some onsite improvements (nofollow tags, meta titles, descriptions) and submiting few reconsideration requests....finally I just took all the links coming to my site site and uploaded them to Disavow, then submitting another reconsideration request.....and few days after...miracle...penalty revoked and ranking recovered more or less.

But I believe there is a very important moment!!!!!!! - this site have a rely good content for the relevant niche.

I have a similar experience with site that have poor content....the penalty has been revoked after bad links removed (not disavowed) but no ranking recovery.
