its about due for PR update time now so i would hold off worrying until thats all over with and see where your site stands then.

Heard a lot around of people losing serps and PR recently

Been slapped hard in the SERPs but only for a handful of pages - whitehat site. Haven't seen any PR drops across any of my sites.

I'v been seeing changes in google recently and I think it's more than a PR update.I think google made little changes in his algorithms.
    It's just my assumption.

If you look back since google said they removed the supplemental results things have been going down hill fast for a lot of SEO people
So we need to rethink our google SEO as a lot of the old stuff is failing to work
If you look hard at the allin commands that SEO Elite uses most fall out of order below the top 10
And even getting your site in the top 10 for all 3 of these commands is no longer a guarantee that your site will rank well in the SERP you can still be outside the top 100 now days. So it?s more a BIG algorithm change.

Also a lot of hand tweaking I believe
Is google using its data base information more for ranking sites for seo?
It seems that any site without incoming links from high authority websites can go down at any time

And i bet most of you all have that G toolbar installed sending info back?
Trusting google software/tools is as good as having a spy in your camp

They do a little dance every year around this time. If I remember correctly, it was about two weeks before Thanksgiving in 2002 that Google, with the best of intentions, implemented an index-wide filter that knocked a massive amount of commercial and retail websites right out of the index. Now, this is pre-AdWords, so if you depended on SERPs for sales, you were absolutely and utterly screwed during prime-time selling season. I remember there were a handful of lawsuits that Google won outright. I think the dance lasted until February or March. It mainly effected smaller businesses. Of my 3 clients at the time, only 1 survived those 4 or 5 months. There was quite literally nothing that could be done. This is when PR was still king and websites that had PR 5 or 6 and were ruling large keyword sets in October were nowhere to be found by Black Friday.

    Anyone else remember this?

december 1st + 2nd I shot up, 2 sites same niche got double traffic (happy days I tell you!) then it went down, and now settled back to where I was before...im hopin that the freak jump will be the norm when the dance settles :)

Although I'm slippin in many areas, I've just got alot of pages indexed and ranking well too. Something def. is up with them. Content is king, I've seen.

wow ... that's pretty harsh; I think you can actually submit a ticket if your site is valid and whitehat; google will review it and re-index you.

Google is slowly phasing in / messing / adjusting the weight of a few new dozen page ranking sub-algorithms looking at different stuff. Page rankings should definitely fluctuate pretty significantly over the next few months as stuff comes online, offline, is adjusted, etc.

I've checked my sites and I'm seeing no slippage. Maybe it's has gotten around to me. I'm still up in PR 2 land. Hopefully it will stay that way.
