I was searching for reviews about Affiliate summit and only found a couple online.
I also found a lot of threads about people always talking about going but never seem to come back and leave a review about their experience for this expensive event.(all access tickets cost 2k this year)

So for those who actually went to Affiliate Summit in 2012 or 2011 please leave your review here for those who are thinking about going to Affiliate Summit 2013. Was it worth going?what was the most valuable thing you managed to get from this event? What are some reasons you would go back the next year.

Thanks guys.

I run Affiliate Summit - do you have any questions about it?

The most expensive pass that you mentioned is for people who want DVDs of all of the sessions. Passes start at $249.

NoobGuru, I guarantee you will learn mroe reading this and other forums than going to Affiliate Summit. It's basically everyone that doesn't know much trying to sell you stuff you dont' need! :)

Spectacular new low for lounge bumps.

But no, it's not like the guru and scamblogger "conferences" where they tell you what a backlink is and then suggest you buy SERPSpankler 3.0 for $497 through their hoplink. The affiliate summits are mostly about networking, you get to shake hands with the affiliate networks you do business with, apply and get approved in person with new networks, and hang out and party with other affiliates. The sessions are largely mid-to-advanced topics presented by people and representatives of companies who generally need no introduction if you're actually in the industry.

If you're not already a successful affiliate marketer, or at least completely committed to affiliate marketing as your business model or career, I don't know why you'd go to an affiliate marketing conference in the first place, let alone expect to come away with something valuable from the premium sessions.

went to ASE and ASW this year it was a lot of fun especially ASW. You make a lot of random connections not in any one particular place. It's what you make of it. Whats your product or business you would be going to promote?
