I should have read the TOS twice!
I know I'm not going to see the money!

But is that really fair?

I didn't cheat them. I mean amazon.
Bye Bye 5 figure check.

So who else got banned?
And how much do you lost?

am sorry for you ,where did you acted wrong exactly ?

I used link shortener...
But I think they only searched for a reason, so that they can keep the money.

Amazon is not worried about your 5 figure check. Hahaha. Rules are rules.

if you follow the rules then there should be no problem.if you are bringing good genuine customers to them, then why they ban you?

Ah... this was a changed in their policy since Feb. 2012
Associates Program Linking Requirements

In the February 2, 2012, version, the following sentence was added to the second paragraph:
"In addition, you must not use a link shortening service in a manner that makes it unclear that you are linking to an Amazon Site."

Code:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/help/operating/compare

I think they review every account once in a while, if they find something that is against their TOS they ban you, and keep the money.
Even if you bring them good customers and made them alot of money for over 3 years. I mean the piece of the cake that you get is nothing compared to the piece amazon take.

They could review every account immediatly and ban you then, that would be okay.
But to let you grow and then ban you, and take your piece of 2 month of work?

I think that is not fair. And maybe you just can only understand it when your was banned.
Becaus the way they ban you and the response you get it's like a system that makes them some extra money.

Just ban 1 account every day with more than 2000$ would make them nearly a million. Even if that is not much, why shouldn't they take it?
They have some many affiliates that you as a single person don't matter to them.

What link shortener did you use? Was it like bit.ly or was it an internal shortener on your own site, like mysite.com/go/product-name?

does that mean you can't do this either? http://www.mydomain.com/go/bike -----> goes to the amazon affiliate page?

I used bit.ly but i after that im not sure if amzn.to whould have made any change.
You can link to your own site with whatever you want, but the links to amazon have to be 100% cristal clear so that the customer can't have any doubt that when he clicks, that he is going to amazon.

So if your going to promote amazon, than read their TOS more than 1 time.
If your not doing it, than stop, because than it's a waste of your time.
Because sooner or later they ban you!
If you want to be sure, send them an email, asking if they could confirm your website and that you follow the rules!

Okay i just wanted some answers for my own questions, but all i get is questions.

If you have questions about promoting amazon, read the TOS!

Amazon's tracking sucks donkey balls. You have to use some form of link tracking if you want to improve conversions on your site. I use prettylink most times. Not sure why they would have a problem if you're using a redirection on your site because they could always drop in and see where your traffic/sales are coming from.

The thing they likely have a problem with are services such as bit.ly where you could be spamming the shitz out of craigstlist or wherever and it would be a pain in the ass to tell where it's coming from.

Just my thought on the matter.
