im looking to get a partnership, what do I need to do?
Please be a little bit more specific.
My friend does music, r&B and hip hop songs he is an artist and I am looking to get my friend partnered.
I don't think you are on the right site for what you are seeking. It appears your looking for someone to listen to your friends music. As you know this is very difficult since you can not really solicit any music to a reputable music company. They want a libray of songs and already pretty much want your friend to have a large fanbase through myspace, facebook, and youtube. They wont waste their time with an amateur unless he is the next big thing to hit the industry. Your friend has a long way to go before he gets a "partner." If he is in the United States, I would recommend starting with local songwriting groups. They are your best source of information and can even let you know when a publisher is accepting material, areas having open mic night, and which groups you will want to become members of so you can network. Bottom line, since youtube and myspace everyone is a star and only a handfull are making money at it. Also, if you are acting as your friends agent, you need to do a lot more homework. I've been to Nashville, I have sat down with the Major Labels, they are no joke and they are not looking for one either.
He's got some listeners. I mean where do you go to get a partnership and what are the requirements, the only reason I am looking to get him a partnership is to put features on the cnannel such as banners etc.
You are talking about becoming a Youtube Partner?
A simple google search will provide what you are wanting. Unless you are wanting absolutely spoon-fed.
that's exactly what I want! jheeze is that how you are trying to get your rep, by throwing rude comments? ok
Youtube will contact you if they feel you are worthy of becoming a partner. You need to be receiving loads of views each day, im talking probably thousands. Its best if you build a fan base and work your way up from there...dont focus on becoming a youtube partner, focusing on making good music and promoting yourself through other means.
actually youtube changed everything a while back now anyone with a adsense account can monetize there videos and is considered to be a YouTube partner and they also removed the application page , usually after about 30 days you are supposed to be given custom thumbnails if your account has no strikes or copyright voilations
and the banner are supposed to be coming to everybody that has there videos monetized in a couple of months
If anybody wants banner right now you have to join a network some of them have very low requirements
that defeats the whole purpose of trying to become a youtube partner
Separate names with a comma.
