Who Can Give A Detailed Description of 6 Figures

Hi everybody. I know the existence of this term in Marketing of Six Figures, but I'm having hard times understanding it. Searched on google but can't find exactly of what I'm looking for. Is somebody here that could explain better what means Six Figure and give some detailed information about it. Thank you.

6 Figures refers to XXX,XXX in a currency. (basically, you count every digit)

For example, if I earn $100,000 per year, I make a six-figure salary.

The same goes for 5 figures: XX,XXX or 7 figures: X,XXX,XXX and so on.
