Hi i recently started my journey in youtube, still now focusing on getting traffic to the videos , can you give me useful tips to promote the videos other than reddit ..
If you read through my older posts, I have given out a lot of valuable information scattered throughout here and there over the past year or so. Engage with your audience. That means respond to EVERY SINGLE COMMENT. Yes.
Try and connect with other YouTubers that have a similar sized channel. Promote on every platform you can. Share your best videos with friends and family, both online and offline. Ask your subs to engage in your videos and possibly do giveaways once you're past a couple thousand subs. Use annotations, end screens, cards, comments, whatever you can to direct all attention to one main video that you want to go viral. Try and promote that often. Share it to all video sites you can think of. Spend a little bit of cash to get influencers to promote your stuff and maybe invest in ads. Go to networking events. Join all youtube subreddits, google+ pages and forums
Inspirational! I am gonna start a personal health and fitness channel in 1-2 months as well. How long did it take for you to start receiving organic views, and how many shares you get on each video?
Organic as in they started coming on their own? To be quite honest, the first video when I posted in March got like 2 views naturally lol. I started posting here and there in March and April but only when I posted in a few dedicated subreddits and on my personal FB did I get a couple subscribers. Come June I was getting people coming in naturally, but mainly Reddit is what I have to credit for my channel's growth.
The first 10,000 subscribers are insanely hard to get. It's a long journey, but definitely worth it. That's my mid-term goal currently before 100,000.
We're at 5,945 subscribers!
Analytics for the past 28 days:
I decided to shut down the progress channel, as that only has 25 subscribers and was diverting my attention away from the more important ones. I'm thinking about doing a journey for the gaming channel.
I can't wait for the days when I can get at least 10K+ daily views without any marketing, that'll be soon..
My influencer for some reason isn't responding, but like he hasn't posted anything on YouTube either.. very strange. At least his channel's gaining subs
What do you find is an effective way to approach influencers? Are you sticking to youtube or going to other social media?
Just emailing them works fine for me after approaching on YouTube. Only thing is I'd like to work with this particular influencer as he fits in VERY nicely into my niche, along with all of his friends. I think all's good, just the unfortunate matter of fact is that most of these guys aren't as hungry as I am. I understand though as I've certainly been there. I may not respond to all messages as well, but I try to. I may not care as much when I have thousands of new subs coming in each week, but I feel a lot of people aren't marketing as hard as they could be.
So I've decided to go ahead and give out a lot of content today. This should be inspirational for some, and it'll be fun for me to look back at when I'm rich and famous
What programs do I use that help? Well, I'm anal about analytics. I check DAILY. Multiple times a day. I study patterns and try and figure out the best ways to market my videos and channel in the future.
TubeBuddy helps with analytics and comparing my channel to others, I have the pro version because it helps with bulk copying tags/endscreens/cards. I do not use annotations because endscreens do more for me.
I try and promote one main video right now that's approaching 100,000 views. My most viewed video is approaching 250,000 but that has a horrible CPM. The main reasons you see boosts in my analytics is because of the video I'm now working on promoting. It's $5-10 CPM helps make up for some of the demonetized videos and horrible CPM ones (like 10 frickin cents). I knew my channel would have this though with controversial topics, so I'll make up for it longterm with donations/patreon AND sponsorships Plus long-term people will care more about my content than the average joe that blends in with everybody else.
Screw the masses. I forge my own path. People will follow in my footsteps. Right now some laugh at my channel, but soon that laughter will turn into begging. I'm ALREADY seeing it. Companies wouldn't give me the time of day a few weeks back. Now suddenly I'm seeing an increase in messages? Hmmmm...
Something cool happened recently. I was noticed for the first time by a subscriber IRL. She came up to me and we just chatted about Chicago. She unsubbed lol but whatever. I've been noticed before in public but people are awkward and don't wanna approach me.. OR they hate me for one particular little stunt I pulled, but heyyyy, any publicity is good publicity.
Analytics for the past 28 days:
SO CLOSE TO A MILLIE!
The drop in December was because I was retarded and felt depressed lol.
I lost at least 500 subscribers due to my political beliefs (I'm a Trump supporter, although I've calmed down a bit but still.. no use in hiding facts).
I've been growing in monthly revenue every single month since July, and this month I think I'll definitely do better than January. Factor in possible sponsorships and affiliate stuff, and we're good.
For anybody who says you can't post analytics due to legal reasons, you're wrong. You can't post EVERY SINGLE THING, but I mean it is estimated revenue so that's the kicker there. But seriously, like actual revenue is right around there. Usually changes by pennies or a few dollars sometimes.
I can't wait to have 100,000 subscribers. By then I'll be able to afford my own team for marketing, camerawork, editing, etc. and better equipment. I want to get to 1M subs as fast as possible after that. Loyal subs of course. I could care less about subs who will leave shortly after..
THINK LONG TERM
It sucks because a few months ago Appsumo had a tubebuddy lifetime deal that costed peanuts compared to a tubebuddy monthly subscribtion. Wish I got that
what! you seem experienced in YouTube, planning to start one very soon. Can I ask you a question, can you mix YouTube adsense and clickbank? I was thinking of starting a YouTube channel, monetize using Adsense then in the description put click bank affiliate links?
Long term, yes. But I wouldn't use affiliate links up until you have at least a couple hundred loyal subs
Good luck, I've wanted to start my own channel ever since I discovered nigahiga with his "how to be" videos back then.
If you haven't yet, why not? Every delayed day sets you back big time
Must be a good feeling, huh?
TubeBuddy is great! It's my favourite tool for YT, saves me a bunch of time and I've also been trying to use the tag sorter on the older videos to put the keywords that are ranking decent, higher in the list of tags. Not sure if you've had experience with the tag sorter but I think I've soon some improvement using it on older videos that are ranking alright.
Don't know, somehow I've always told myself that no one is gonna be interested in some kid from southeastern Europe. I know that's not how you suppose to think of yourself and I've got great ideas, maybe I can try and see what happens
So after a small little Reddit promo, we're up to 10K views a day. Through today's posts, you can see that my daily views are generally increasing. From January's average of 5-6K to now around 8Kish or so, that's good progress. I'll be able to live off of adsense in no time at this rate
I'm working on my gaming channel a little bit today, but other than that just trying to prepare things since I'm leaving for Cali for a week on Tuesday. It's kind of like a Vacation, but I'll try and make some videos there that are different than my vlogs.
Analytics (28 days of views):
Since taking the photo, I've gained 6 subs. I'm down to 4.5 hours of sleep daily now and I'm trying to get as much stuff done as possible. GARY V - HUSTLE BABY!
How long have you been posting on this account? In other words, how long did t take you to rich a million views?
Good luck man .... i happy for you
