I decided to come back and start yet another journey :)

It's great fun to update everyday and see the progress. This is completely whitehat on YouTube, as I'm against fake likes/subs/views/etc. It's better to think long-term than have a short-term firecracker.

The only "blackhat" marketing I guess I have done on my channel and will continue to do for a little bit is use Reddit upvotes, but that's because I feel much safer to do that. I haven't ever used bots on YT and don't plan to, as I want ZERO additional risk.

I run an unorthodox and controversial Vlogging channel. Currently at the start of this journey it is at 5,673 subscribers and 893,692 total views.

Here are my analytics for the past 28 days:

My realtime (past 48 hours) views:

    And my lifetime analytics:

I have opened my channel nearly a year ago, on February 4th, 2016. I did not however post my first video until March 19th. And between that time and the very beginning of summer I did not market my channel nor even post consistently.

I post daily videos now, and just recently I've received another spike due to some of my content being featured on EDM magazines' websites and FB pages. I've gone ahead and hired a popular YouTuber as well (over 102K) to create a shoutout inside one of his videos as well, and I'm preparing for more.

This isn't my first rodeo, as I've worked with much larger channels many times before, but never a personal one (as in, I actually make the content fully). I had a "personal" gaming channel back in 2010 that grew into a community channel, but I don't have it anymore. The largest channel I've created and sold that is still currently UP is Buzzvines.

I've also just received my first sponsorship for $50 alongside an extra $50 worth of free products, and have earnined a few bucks here and there through donations and affiliate links.

Nice man! It's nice to see another white hat YouTube journey as I'm prepping for mine as well. I think a lot of people get caught up in the black hat shortcut methods, but YouTube isn't that great of a platform for it if you are looking for long term earnings. With all the time spent creating accounts, ripping content, starting all over...over and over again you could just do something yourself and stay completely safe.

It's also a lot more fun creating your own content. It's a sense of freedom that we often forget around here. You're obviously doing well, and I don't see it changing anytime soon! Best of luck for your future.

Good luck with YouTube! I've personally only achieved 2,500 subscribers and 100,000 views.

I have plans for a white hat YouTube channel further down the line too but I have far too much on my plate right now.

    Looking good!

How are you linking to your affiliate offers? Are you dropping links in the description, using annotations, or? Either way congrats on the sales!

Nice journey sir! It is very nice to see a white hat journey.

Can you go into detail about this part? You just have a bunch of accounts and just upvote or you pay for them? How many upvotes do you give to your posts?

Links in the about section on YT (few people go there), and then links in all the descriptions. I do not use annotations as End Screens are more valuable to me (however I'm unable to link affiliate links there, but long term idc as End Screens help me get more views to my highest paying video). I've recently started making notice to check out the links with a 10 second ad at the end of almost every one of my new videos. I've commented like 3x with the links.

For now it's nothing too extremely spammy. If I wanted to, I probably could be making $500 right now with the channel but I'd ruin my engagement by selling out and overpromoting worthless crap that I didn't truly believe in.

My 5K subs are worth more than the average 5K, maybe not fully (as my niche isn't known for the highest paying ads, at least not yet..) but I've worked hard to gain a loyal and engaged following. They trust me.

    At this point, both.
I used upvote.club for my best videos. I posted in the subreddits that they would do best in alongside r/videos. I've achieved front page results with a couple dollars usually spent, so good investment. I don't do it often though as I rather save for promos. Not every video deserves promotion. I hate spamming. Even for reddit I try to have multiple accounts that have 90/10 posting ratios. So the one bit of blackhat that I do isn't even that sketchy in the first place. And I also ask friends to upvote sometimes my really good content. Every vote counts just to get on the rising tab. Once you're there, you're set for 24 hours.

    Update #3

Thought I posted, but looks like it didn't lol. I filmed my sponsorship video although it came out a bit retarded, but hey, I guess that's the nice part when I have so much leeway. My influencer's shoutout video should be coming out soon within the next few days, so I'm on the lookout for another influencer to work with.

Really excited to hit 6,000 subscribers soon :) At the time of this posting, I have
5,774 subscribers. I decided to do a daily $5 amazon gift card giveaway. It's going to hurt my budget for right now but I think long term it'll help big time!

I hope to gain 50 every single day, but some days I go below that. There have been multiple days where I've gotten 100+ subs.

    Currently I have 5,804 subscribers.

Nearly at 1,000,000 total views and 6K subs!!

I'm trying to respond to all comments, and I'm working out a deal right now for an OG Twitter account. I'd like to use the username for my YouTube, and I'm excited to get going with Twitter. I've got to get a new theme going for my Instagram today (that fits in with my previous 9 pictures), and work on my other YouTube channels.

I post on my secondary once a week, a short little clip. Hopefully in the future I'll get it to 2 clips a day :) I also post almost daily on my third "progress" channel. And I've got some work to catch up with my gaming channel.
