While CC is down, what are you using to fetch articles

Hi Guys,

Now that Caffeinated Content is down (albeit for a little while at least until the no-titles issue continues), it has made me realise just how dependent I was on that plugin.

Which makes me wonder, what are you using to grab articles and post them onto you blog? For youtube, there is wpvideotube (which is brilliant by the way) but what of articles?

Best script ever I got an email stating that the only problem was the article database thing that the rest is a hosting problem on my end . However that is wrong . My hosting has not changed and CC use to work . Now it does not it is all 100 percent CC . However that email made me see that a fix may be a long time down the road .

CC is uncompared to anything else . There IMHO is nothing like it . Too bad that the owner failed to admit that there was anything wrong other than the article fetch feature . That evens angers me to some point . Kinda wander if that was his way of saying yeah so what I am not going to fix it .

So like you I think it is time to move on and find out whatelse may be availale out there for this task .

ya, i think yahoo did something.
most of my content that generated through cc that used to have good ranking now all gone. I can see yahoo answers are getting no1 search result using the same keyword.

Thanks for this, but when I upload the new file and goto write -> Caffeinated Content Management it comes up with a massive thing saying:

But there are no links to download the new version. Also in the members area of the CC website there is no new version to download.

Ive tried ignoring this and running the plugin anyway, but all that happens is that it says it has made x number of posting but when I check it has made no postings.

Any ideas?

No idea atm but the modified functions file I posted is from the nulled v.335 found on this forum.
Maybe you are using another version, you can always put the original files back and make the change on line 565 yourself?

all you changed was take out <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
is this correct? the google add section was causing the problem?

I have not been experiencing any problems with CC. I hope I did not just jinx myself. Are you guys getting problems with fetching the articles or also using Yahoo Answers?

Not sure if this is part of the problem with CC but after I upgraded to PHP 5.2.8 I started having problem parsing XML / RSS feeds. I found that there is a bug in libxml2 2.7.2

I had to downgrade to libxml2 2.6.31

I didn't use CC when I had libxml2 2.7.2 active so I don't know if it affected the program but if you are having a problem you can't solve otherwise this may be one to try.

CC will not get any articles from article database for me, every keyword i try says 0 items posted... it thinks for awhile but then never delivers results... yahoo answers work just fine does anyone have any ideas?

I had this type of problem many times just wait for 10 to 20 minutes and it will be fine then

I have been trying for three days now and still no luck ;( do you have any more suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

This may be a little off topic but is there anyway to get CC to post the entries automatically over a period of days instead of doing it manually?

well you can just set the end date to be like a month in the future, and then wordpress will post the new posts on the day that CC randomly chooses in the future. but as for searching for new articles i dont think that has been implemented yet
