I'm on the lookout for a decent theme for my wordpress master blog. I've been reading the forums endlessly for a few days now and read some conflicting opinions on which themes are best for micro niche sites.

Several people have claimed the made for adsense style themes are bad as google flags them as mfa sites..

Is this the case? If so which themes are the best in your opinion?

Check out Thesis - I use it for all my info sites and it is professional, organized, customizable, and provides an excellent CTR if you place ads correctly.

P.S. in fact Matt Cutts even uses it for his blog.

I like Thesis as well, it loads up fast.

I am using Wordpress Arthemia Theme. It looks good and you can customize it according your requirements. Besides it thesis theme also work fine.

ANY theme may contain a backdoor. Especially if to was downloaded from some warez resource (filesharing service, torrent etc). So be VERY careful with that!
Personally I always analyze the theme code manually (always decrypted all crypted parts and check their source).
