Which well known websites are poor from a SEO perspective?

You would have to conduct some analysis on DR less than 5 to see if any visible trends appear.

Many popular businesses in real life don't give a shit about SEO, because they built an authority throghout the years IRL.
But they still rank good on internet, because they receive many direct visits on their websites or from their social media pages
Their websites are slow, not optimized and even so, they don't rank well
I won't mention a specific example from my country, but I'm sure it happens in basically anywhere

There are some surprisingly popular websites that don’t follow SEO best practices but still rank at the top of Google search results. For example, I just checked Forbes on PageSpeed Insights, and its performance isn’t impressive. but you see its consistently ranks high. Again I would say that Google is the king, whatever it wants, it does!
