I run a PR4 site, and recently I've started to get some legit PR4 backlinks. The question is, is it better if site X is linking directly to my main page or is it better to target for a spesific keyword? Here's an example:

A: Direct link to my main page
B: A link to my www.mysite.com/blah-blah with targeted anchor text that matches to 'blah blah'.

Which way is better? I know any type of backlink does not hurt but I just started to wonder that.

    Hi,
First of all I would stop using PR as a metric. For example a link coming from a brand new page on the New York Times coming to your site will have no PR but will be incredibly beneficial to your site. Head over to SEO MOZ and use one of their metrics instead.

    1. Links going to your main page will benefit internal links coming from that page and boosting your main page will benefit the rest.
    2. If you are optimising for a particular keyword that it's probably best to target an internal page.
    3. Anchor text links are obviously better than links with no anchor text, but you want to try and get a range so it looks organic.

    Hope this helps.

The greater the PR of the page is the greater it weights in the eye of google, I have been selling PR links on odesk and earning good income from there.

I've noticed that people go grazy when the PR is higher. How much people are paying for PR4 backlink?

    I charge about 3-5$ per PR4 link.
