Either traffic or sales. Which platform had the least conversion for you. Assuming you were equally active on all of them.

For me it was Instagram.

Depends on the niche. Instagram is the top converting platform for our ecommerce stores. Facebook used to be the first one but it declined a lot lately.

Reddit is a bit different. People there hate ads but if you're familiar with the community you can make it pass.

I saw the other day an ad on Reddit where the advertiser is an OG redditor. Everyone loved it on comments (this one had +100 comments which is unusual on Reddit).

Never tried Twitter and I dont think I will ever be.

We are using Linkedin mostly for our B2B side of business (real estate, to attract developers and agencies). It works really well.

It mostly depends on the niche, but for the above list, You will have to spend some time optimizing your content / page to have a better conversion

because nowadays organic traffic is really hard.

I don't believe there is someone who masters all of them to give a reliable opinion, but you bet there is people who masters one of them and makes good profit from it.

You should have mentioned telegram

I hate that platform wasted my 2 months on that

no space died yrs ago - is that place still active
I reckon it is still alive, just no way near it's past "glory days"
then again, it never really had glory days lol

There is no such thing as the best platform that converts for all.

What might work for me might not work for you and so on. That's why people try different strategies and networks to figure out what works best for them and that can only be done when you experiment with different networks and platforms.

What's the best social media platform for getting installs for a mainstream dating app?

it depends, sometime one works and sometime other.
Also depends on the product or the launch you are doing.

I believe every platform out there has a specific set of audience so it all boils down to testing what is working for people on the social platforms

Instagram converts like no other platform. It somehow gives you a feeling of elite community.
Twitter is like a robot eating micro-chips. I don't know what to do with it.
Reddit is a hostile environment for spammers. This makes it difficult for newbies to test the waters.
Facebook is like an old lady. Well, what can you sell her? May be a set of fixed dentures :D
Telegram is a zombie.

People say this because they are going there direct linking, instead of giving value to the community first.

You need to make friends with more agency owners. A good agency has mastered a lot of these. Not a noob agency, but the ones that regularly charge $5k+ per week. I meet a lot of them at the conferences.

I have spent enough with all these to have reps at 3 of those sites and I would say Twitter and Reddit are both pretty awful to advertise on.
