Honestly, it's Facebook groups.
Facebook is a great way to drive traffic if you know what you're doing.
Here's a hint.
You can't just randomly drop links from your blog on related Facebook groups and expect not to get banned.
It doesn't work that way.
Here's how I do it.
I would find all groups that are related to my niche.
It doesn't matter if they have less than 1000 members.
As long as they have over 300 members, I'm good.
So I come up with a very long comprehensive list of Facebook groups that are related to my niche.
The next thing I do is I filter that list by checking out what people actually post.
So if the moderator is super anal and doesn't ever allow small-time blog posts, I delete that group from my list.
I also filter based on organic activity.
Is this a spam group or are people truly interested in asking questions and supplying answers?
If the latter, I keep them on the list.
If it's mostly automated or there's a lot of gibberish, I get it off my list.
So at the end of this process, you have a legit distribution list.
Now, "to activate" that list, you have to invest about two to three weeks of your time.
So basically, you go through the list and you just answer people's questions or you post questions.
You never link to your site, you never share your content.
Instead, you share information and if needed, you share links from well-known sites like news sites like CNN or Time.com or depending on the niche, New Scientist.
So the key here is to build credibility and legitimacy.
So you do this for about two to three weeks or longer if you're in a competitive niche.
And then, once people know that you're legit, you start sharing some of your content.
But don't go crazy, maybe share one link every 10 days.
The key is to keep building up your credibility. If you do this right, then you will be well-rewarded.
This is a marathon, it's not a sprint.
Don't expect to just drop a link and all of a sudden, you get all this amazing traffic.
It doesn't work that way.
