Which site will rank better?

1) Site A - New site with 100+ backlinks to main page with pillar article.

2) Site B - Old site (sort of authority) with multiple product/niche. Few backlinks on the page with whom i am competing.

Just follow onpage techniques, build regular links with slow pace, maintain anchor text diversity & wait for the results. We need to build authority to our new site to get some initial results. Hope you got it.

Site A will rank better, for a limited time and from there everything depends on kw volume (competition)

You should do both scenarios and 301 later to the B domain obviously.

Ultimately you're going to need time to build authority on site a to be able to match site b.
