I currently run a few businesses and have been buying packages off BHW. But I do think that I want to learn this stuff myself too so I understand how it works. I've been watching some Udemy videos to start off and there are so many tools out there.

Which one do you guys recommend? What are the pros and cons of each platform?

Why not buy all. Buy any group seo services. They offer all these tools in very minimal amount.

Excel + scientific method is best. Take something you think might be a factor and go measure it in the results for your keyword and plot a chart of measurements versus rank position. The moment you do then you will know something the rest of us don't. You will know if that factor is or isn't worth your time. Then once you have done that enough you can call BS on articles and blog posts quickly because you will know when people are claiming things that just aren't true in the data. That saves you TONS of time because it lets you identify the articles where actual research has been done and experienced advice is being given.

Once you have your methods down then look to tools to make your methods easier. Which tool depends on your methods. Going to tools without having the understanding of what they can and can't do is very wasteful of both time and money.

    Just my opinion. :)

I have seen most professionals use only one tool. Different tools will make you slow. Go for Aherfs or Majestic only. Pay for one tool and that's it.

Why you want to buy the tool? There are so many things to consider while thinking of purchasing a tool.

Both majestic and Ahrefs are better tools.Go with the trial versions or daily attempts to check the performance.

On group buys you can get those for about 15$ per month, but it's still an unstable service which can go down anytime.
If you need constant access to those tools then buy those memberships + buy a group package. That way you can use ahrefs with higher "row limits" and maintain multiple searches in real time.

    I hope this helps :)

Majestic and Ahrefs are good. I suggest you try the trial versions of all the tools listed above and pay for the tool which you liked much. :)

For an all in one solution, I don't really like Moz because the lowest priced package limits you to like 3 campaigns.

    I recommend SEMrush or Ahrefs.

Ahrefs is the best, u can research keyword with keyword explorer feature in Ahrefs.

    Good luck!

As some people have mentioned, a group buy setup is decent to try tools. They tend to be buggy and slow, but can be decent if you want to try out everything cheaply. You can get a personal subscription to whichever tool(s) you actually use.
