Ok, This post is going to seem kind of bizarre, but stick with it.

I was reading a post in here about somebody making 3.5M with affiliate marketing... so I head over to g00gle and type in super affiliate.

No big deal so far... ok, now when the g00gle results come back the third one down (at the time I did this 09/09/08) was for sup3raff1liate.com... ok, still no big deal...

I then click on the link expecting to go to sup3raff1liate.com and I end up being redirected to...

    hxxp://winxp-antivir-on-line-scan*com/1/?id=
(click on that link at YOUR OWN RISK)

Ok I know how they set up the page, I know how they are making money I just want to know how they hijacked sup3raffiliate com? because it is a real site.

and by the way in my humble opinion it is frickin brilliant.

    Seriously

PS. before I hit submit this thread I went back to google and did it again just to see if I was going insane.

I think it's got something to do with the 302 exploit - hxxp://clsc*net/resear*ch/google-302-page-hijack.htm

did anyone notice that he first said it was "sup3raff1liate.com" and then it was "sup3raffiliate.com"? Maybe he mistook the one with the 1, for the "real" site without the 1 in the name.

    Maybe it's a typo.

Either way, good luck in your journey.

Ok guys maybe I wasn't clear in my post... so let me break it down.

    1. go to g00gle.
    2. in the search box type in the words super affiliate.

    3. the 3rd listing is Sup3rAff1liate,com (I changed this so it would not get indexed - geeez)
    Sup3rAff1liate,com - K1t Ell1ot's Adventures in Sup3r Aff1liate Marketing.

    SA.jpg

    4. This IS a legitimate site... if you type Sup3rAff1liate,com into an address bar you WILL go to the site. (change 3 to e and 1 to i)... This is not the issue.

    5. If you CLICK on the listing as displayed on G00gle you will NOT go to the real site you will be redirected to...

    hxxp://winxp-antivir-on-line-scan*com/1/?id=
(click on that link at YOUR OWN RISK)

    6. I want to know how they hijacked the legitimate site.

    Seriously

My colleague at work recently got a virus which hijacked his g00gle results. The pages all looked the same, but the URLs all pointed to parked sites etc.

Personally, I'd only hijack 3b4y results and send them through my aff links. You'd never get caught then! $$$

looks like "william Boyd" of "vsemutorba.com" used a wordpress exploit to inject code to 302 if the visitor comes from google (referer)
