If you guys had a choice between

Domain A - two links from very strong sites as in BBC strong
Domain B - 40 links from average and below (not spammy though) websites

Which one would you pick? Am I correct in thinking that the first one would provide more authority and the second more juice?

Are the links nofollow or do follow? Are they sending in any traffic?

Do follow doubt they're sending any traffic though

In terms of link juice undoubtedly the second domain carries more link juice than the first.

Ha I was planning on doing that anyways just wanted the know for future purchases ;-)

Buy all of those as well.

Seriously, would you rather have them for yourself or allow your competitors to register them?

What if my own mother is my competitor?

You can't only rely on links. You should look domain history and age as well. Also if the links are active and are they do-follow?

Oh come on man, giving birth to jamie3000 is bad enough.

I'll have you know my mum told me giving birth to me was just like doing a really relaxing poo

I wouldn't use either. I generally keep my PBN with TF10+ and multiple DA80+ high quality ********s.

Like 8 huff post, 1 the verge, 3 UCLA.edu, 5 ohio.gov, 3 northwestern.edu, 5 huff post .co.uk links.

I'd steer clear of mediocre domains but that's just me.
