Which one is shaving - The network or the advertiser ?

    In january I've uploaded about 20 videos on yt to promote 1 offer from Maxbouty, it's a day2day product not something trendy or seasonal so the traffic should be steady. According to GAKT the main keyword has almost 7000/local/exact.

    After one of the videos got on the first page of yt it started to convert about 6-10 leads/day. The thing is that in the last few month I had at least 4 vids on the first page (sometimes 6) and some are on page 1 in google for different keywords in that niche but the conversions dropped at 1-2/day or very often 0.
    So, I moved the links to the same exact offer on Peerfly and on the first day I had 7 conversions but in the following days after that conversions dropped at 1-2/day again.

    Who do you think is shaving ?
    And more importantly, what should I do ?

    Both can shave you.

    You can't really control someone shaving you. Maybe think about things that you can control. For instance, uploading more yt videos to get more traffic, find other traffic sources, find other affiliate networks or similar offers to split test against the current one, etc.

    yea man, this is a common process. you will almost always have your best conversions on the first few days of your cpa offer marketing. it has happened to me a couple times. this is with pretty much every network. thats just the name of the game my friends

    If you get the same results from multiple networks it's not the CPA Network it's the Advertiser.

    I've been through this exact same thing, and it's the advertiser shaving you because your leads aren't the highest quality so the advertiser can't pay you on every good lead, there has to be shaving going on in order for the advertiser to keep his campaign ROI positive as well.

    When you have superb lead quality, you will get pretty consistent results and your EPC will be really stable.

    This is most probably "scrubbing" not shaving. If you were being shaved on the network end, it's more likely that you would see lower than normal conversions from day one.

    I'd say both - it's free money on the table and how will you know. They do just as much as possible without raising too many eyebrows. On the other hand there is a lot of variables at work there so tough to call the %'s

    I am using Maxbounty and i think they shave just cuz i have much more traffic and my conversions vary from day to other .. MAy be make 100 lead aday and in another day making only 10 lead and the impression are the same :)
