Found these 2 expired domains with related names to my niche. I need advice on which to choose

Domain 1
Ahrefs DR = 1.8
Backlinks = 43 (77% dof-ollow)
Referring Domains = 7 (71% do-follow)
Top backlinks = Mostly from unrelated niches, but not porn or Asia
Also I see that some of the top pages are ww16.domain.com (Emphasis ww16)
------

Domain 2
Ahrefs DR = 0
Backlinks = 152 (97% do-follow)
Referring Domains = 16 (88% do-follow)
Top backlinks = Few are from related niche domain

interested in this too!
i also do not understand how much DR should value against RD

In my opinion, they are both looking pretty bad. It might harm more than it adds.

But if you still want an answer; second one.
Looking bad? Kindly tell me why you say so.
What should I focus on then?

Hi,

In my humble opinion both are really bad and I would not go with any of them. the boost and the number of backlinks are too little for me to risk picking them up, unless the domain name is something that represent your brand.

Second one seems better given that the backlinks come from a higher number of domains and higher number of do-follows.

Ahrefs DR of under 25 is nothing noteworthy to me to consider buying it, when only considering DR.

No way to determine without seein the link profile. Metrics are just surface data.

What makes them bad?
What should I look for in a good one?
the fact that they don't have lots of RDs, and the few RDs that they have are not strong brands, relevant RDs, or both. And DR 0 is also underwhelming as fuck, If I spend money on expired domains I want them to at least have some strong backlinks, that's the main reasons you buy expired domains

What's the minimum referring domain you would consider? Also note that I want to use it for niche blog, so I am not keen to spend more than $50 on domain registration

there's no minimum, it depends on everyone's goals and budgets. If I had $1 million I would obviously buy the best expired domains on the market.

I would have been OK with either one of the 2 domains you mentioned had they had at least 20-30% good RDs from those totals (7, and 16), but that's me. Other people might aim for 50% good RDs or more, it depends on everyone's goals, like I said

I would take #2 definitely.

"From your niche" = the key.

Just be sure you're ready to do the work to get the SEO together for these sites

When it comes to expired domains you have to be patient. Don’t buy anything hdner DA30. Watch the list for updates daily and something will come up. I agree with most people on this thread. If you are buy any of three domains, you might as well buy a new/fresh one.

Did you mean to say ANYTHING HIGHER THAN DA30 or LOWER THAN DA30?

Usually anything higher than a DA 30 will be spammed to death, previously used as a PBN or full of Chinese links.

It depends how good you are at checking domains history and how much time you have on your hands.

Speak to @Nargil for some affordable options also @serpnames who sells auctioned domains.

I won't probably tell anything that the others haven't told already.

Both of those domains are crap. Decent clean scraped domains no longer exist. I even stopped selling them, because they are not worth the bother.

They are good for maybe some kind of a shotgun approach dumpster PBN where you use hundreds of domains like this, but otherwise they are useless.

And for money site it's an absolute no. If you don't have at the very least a few hundred $ to spend on a decent domain, then simply start fresh.

My overall advice though would be to focus on other aspects of IM, rather than SEO, if budget is an issue. SEO has become a game for big boys I am afraid.

anything HIGHER than 30DA do a full spam report and look for domains that have dont have toxic domains and have a hight domain/backlink ratio. I know this may sound impossible for some who are looking for expired domains. but if you reach out to me personally I find a few on a regular basis that aren't on my list of domains id like to buy and I can recommend some to the right team players/

Do what you want mate, life is good with risks. Try one of them

I added you on Skype.

honestly neither, hard pass on both... I'd be interested if DA, DR and TF were all roughly 20 or higher with no spammy profile and no spammy web archive history
