I need to make a quick call on which URL to use for a new site I will be starting on soon ? thanks given to any BHW pro's that would like to chime in with an opinion on this URL quandary in the next 24 hours

For a completely false example that is grammatically similar to my real situation ? let?s say I am targeting the term ?old German cars?

I happen to notice what I consider a bit of an anomaly whereas a different pluralization of the last key term has search results of significance (it?s usually a landslide one way or the other from my experience)

?old german cars? shows 8000 exact searches a month

?old german car? shows 5500 exact searches a month
I am able to obtain both:

    oldgermancars.NET
    and
    oldgermancar.COM

The competition is decidedly weak for both, and I would love to rank at the top for both terms?..so where do I set up shop?

For what it?s worth, oldgermancars.com happens to be a redirect pointing to an effectively unrelated page ? (so no chance that ever pops up on the SEO scene for either of these terms)

I was planning to go with oldgermancar.com ? set my title tag on the main page to ?Old German Cars? ? and vary all my on and off page SEO between both terms

Am I making the wrong decision? Is it possible oldgermancars.net is the better domain ? perhaps because of some google-bot keyword pluralization algorithm that is over my head?

This is sort of splitting hairs, but I am wondering if there will be a consensus among the Black Hat World as to which is best ? (assuming I want to rank for both search terms)

    oldgermancar.com

you will easily outrank oldgermancars.com, and you should have more authority on a .com domain name. the exact domain helps, but at this point it doesn't matter because there's no competition. plus changing the title tag to old german cars would do the trick.

    just my 2cents

NEVER reveal your keywords! I suggest you to register the EMD ASAP!

EDIT: Just realized my situation. Time to sleep LOL.
