well if its too heavy you will need a dedicated server with Gigabit network port, no shared host is going to let you flood their ports shared by their other clients.

Can't tell you we are the best as it would be quite biased but what I would be able to tell you is what type of hosting you are after, if you could specify the type of website and what you meant by huge traffic.

OP you need to tell how much traffic to get good recommendations. If your figures are in thousands you need to go with ovh or amazon to lower your cost, un managed.

Thank you everyone for your valuable comments.
My site is based in wordpress. Some post have images and some articles. Videos are very rare.
Initially my site is going to have 5k-10k visitors a day.later more if it works out.
Thank you. i think ovh or amazon would be perfect because of cost involved.I need to figure it out how would i have to manage it.. Do you talking about manage on my own?

Okay you are looking at 6 visitors per minute on average. I have to assume that you'll have traffic spikes
A well built / customized VPS will handle this easily, and it would be scalable as well.

If you dont know much about VPS's or linux, managing it yourself could be a very bad idea. Id suggest picking a hosting provider that is knowledgeable and can help your website go. Going cheaper isnt always better as you will find out

how much traffic are we talking about? Are you looking for a VPS or Dedicated server. Also depending on what your budget is would also knock some companies off the list.

Things to look at who are you hosting with now? What issues are you having with your current host that is making you want to move?

Get your self semi-managed VPS + cPanel license which will cut the costs of full managed VPS (once installed , configured by your provider you won't really need to play with the console).

For 400-600 visits / hour and depend on your website you may look over VPS with 2 - 4GB RAM (minimum) and 2 CPU (over 3Ghz) ensure that it comes with SSD in RAID10 storage and bandwidth speed greatest than 100Mbps dedicated .

Such traffic should not be a problem for any reputable provider on BHW.

A good optimized cpanel vps, with 4GB ram and SSD drives (preferably in hardware RAID 10) should be sufficient to offer an excellent performance for your wordpress website with 5k-10k daily visitors. Preferably go for managed provider as they will take care of everything related to your server and even help you with your wordpress optimization tweaks such as enabling server end caching etc.

They are unmanaged provider. Hiring external management services is an option, but it may not prove to be reliable as if there is anything wrong at provider end, your management service provider will be restricted to offer limited support.

5-10k is not a big traffic. Offload images to Amazon S3 with a plugin. Use a cache plugin like Hyper Cache. I run a huge forum and 3-5 moderate traffic WP sites on a single shared hosting plan without any issue.
