I think we can break down internet marketing in two distinct categories. [Correct me if I"m wrong )

    1. Selling products/services
    2. Earning through ads with massive 'authority' sites

My question is which of the two do you think are more profitable these days in 2013? Is it selling
products/services with the help of squeeze pages with massive backlinks web2.0 and other SEO goodies or creating detailed authority sites on specific niches and earning solely through Adsense?

I personally prefer number 1 because you have more control on all the variables.

Read up on Millionaires Fastlane, it is a really good book.

There only as profitable as you make them.

Find what you like and are good at and stick with it

Agreed. I do both but it sucks building up a great adsense site and then seeing your profits drop because your CPC halves itself when some company ends an advertising campaign or something...
