Create several web 2.0 properties and then start building links to them.

I would do something like this.

*I would get the xxscam or similar domain name and place reviews and content on it...if you wanted you could offer responses on the site with regards to the content you don't like.
I would do 2-3 of these sites.

*Then do high quality web 2.0's

*I would then do a video "is xxx a scam" type videos and optimize them.

*Do some doc shares as well

*I would then start a thread in a related forum and...you know...

That should get you going...it is going to cost you money or a lot of time, but you can do it.

    Thanks

Also, if the client is paying you a premium don't be afraid to register a couple websites to make sure those "negative" reviews show up when someone searches their name or anything to do with scam. This is actually stronger than web2.0 and video, but they are up there. Also, facebook pages and twitter are known to work well for this.

i will suggest use authority domains or create content on high value, authoritative domains like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other user-generated-content portals.

    here what i recommend doing

go to ripoffreports, and find businesses that have many bad reviews
then go and do google searches for those sites, using those terms and see which ones have the best SERP results.
see whats ranking and do backlink checks on those. chances are you'll figure out how to do reputation management and fix your clients bad serp pages.

    1. Buy 5 domains around your KW+scam and post review like "is YOUR KW really scam" type
    2. Build profiles on high authority web 2.0 sites

    then build links to them
