i don't have a Job, but i have a 1 Lakh CC with ICICI bank.
IT is not needed, Pan card no. alone will do :) The limit can be extended upto 5L and it purely depends on your Fixed deposit amount.

Ex: if you have a fixed deposit of 1 lakh you'll get 85k in your CC. ie. 85%

Are you sure that SBI doesnt work internationally, cuz i just applied for platinum debit card thinking it will work as my previous silver debit card wasn't working.

Gotta create a new bank account.
btw anyone can tell from them experience what bank is better for IM stuff, doesnt have much hassles, whose debit card works fine on Paypal or any other credit card processors and has some knowledge about online banking(SBI employees doesnt know what is wire transfer, what is paypal etc. which becomes headache in the long run.)
    Thanks!
ps Sorry for hijacking thread :p

As for Axis bank, you need to keep 20K minimum in your account for 3-4 months before you can apply for one. No need to fix deposit and no need to be in a job. Just open a 10K account and keep 20K for 4 months. Then contact one of their customer care exec by visiting any branch. You will get your card within 15 days.

Totally wrong. All of the debit cards provided need VBV password. If you try to use them for a credit card, it will not be able to verify the transaction and it will be reversed. You need a credit card to be able to do it.

Secondly, I have used SBI debit card for international transaction and it works everytime I use it.

I have bank accounts on Kotak, ICICI, Citibank, HDFC, SBI, Standard Chartered and Credit card of HDFC and Citibank. I mostly use citibank's credit card and which is working perfectly fine from 4 years now! Yes, i used citibank's credit card for internet marketing stuff only. HDFC is good but if you're able to get citibank's cc then it would be great.
    Hope this helps.

I used my mother's Gold debit card which worked as intended for all the gateways that accept debit card. Paypal will only accept Credit card. I have tried Axis, ICICI, SBI, BOI and IOB - Nothing worked because of the VBV thingy or something. It doesn't matter if it's SBI or any other bank.. Nothing will work..
    EDIT:
Yesterday I tried using Axis bank Debit card in Google Wallet and it worked! So, use Google Wallet if you can't use paypal (if available obviously).
