    Hello,

I am running an e-commerce business where my site is updated daily with new products or new registered users. Due to some reason my site went slow on which my current host advised me to upgrade my RAM which I agreed to do so. They assured me that it will not take them more then 1 hour to upgrade it by now its more then 9 hours and my sites are down.

Currently I was taking a backups on VPS which I am not able to utilize in such situation. Now I am looking for some hosting company or any application where mirror image of my website is created on daily basis and I can re-direct my domain to that host as soon as my site is down for any reason so that I don't loose on sales?

Please advice me on how can I do this? And what hosting company should I go for such service?

    Thanks

I recommend you to use Co location with multi server nodes hosting.

If any Point of hosting goes down other will make your site keep alive and up.

Also use RAID technology for data keep secure in multi drives. And with those Multi node servers your data will be shared with all nodes so backup too with it.

Use CDN networks and firewall too.

    Hope it helps.

What is the current situation with your host because upgrading ram on a vps should be a simple upgrade. It don't take 1 hour let alone 9 hours to upgrade ram. Perhaps you should look for a better provider instead of looking for failover solutions due to your current hosting situation.

I'd like to express the point that tunevps.com is pretty good option to get managed vps deals along with backups.
Their hosting packages include a full list of features that provides everything you need plus plenty of room for growth.

I believe it is better to have remote backup using R1soft etc. then trusting on the hosting provider

Think that it will be a good idea to contact SolVPS.com - their work is based on quality and they provide fast backups.
The system itself is rock solid and the software & features are excellent. I am totally impressed with these guys. New customers can get a great discount with coupon BESTVPSOFFER for 25% off for life.

If you plan to change the provider, you could consider two VPS at different node. Tell your concern to your new provider, they shall able to give you right advise. Not necessary need to be two different location, within the same network, transfer rate of backup file would be much faster
