Read a lot of comments that "DR is more accurate than DA"? Here's some data to challenge that assumption...

In a study looking at the backlinks of 100 US websites, Malte Landwehr found strong correlation between DA (Domain Authority) from Moz, DR (Domain Rating) from ahrefs and AS (Authority Score) from SEMrush. Majestic's TF (Trust Flow) and CF (Citation Flow) were not as well correlated.

What does this mean? If you want to use a standardized metric to label a domain's overall backlink strength, DA and DR are almost the same.

I prefer none. If you force me put it in orderwise

DR
TF
AS
CF
DA

But the truth DA is popular. I don't know when people will realize it is worst metric

Number of referring domains and then DR if you check stuff by hand or on small quantities. If you need to check hundreds of thousands of domains, then referring domains and TF.

None! They can be manipulated.
My vote is for RD, but you don't have RD

CF metrics is useful only with TF. Check the ratio CF/TF.
Because a domain with high score of CF, and low TF means, in most of the case, that backlinks are spam

Those metrics can be manipulated, it's better to go with the referring domain and quality of the link.

Moz and Semrush crawler bots are super super lazy. I think they're using a 500 bucks pc to run their crawler, it takes 30-60 days to index a backlinks that's already available in GSC.

Ahrefs crawler bot is very fast in finding your backlink. My vote goes to Ahrefs

My choice is DR but as many said, all metrics are manipulative. So, check RD and organic traffics as well.

I prefer DA and DR and RD

DR is our chosen metric, but DA has traditionally been more popular especially after PR was retired.

Worst thing is when you see SEO sellers mixing and matching, metrics just to show the higher metric numbers.

Manual check is always the best. Referring domains check is all you need.

Best to ask google engineers which best approximates their secret formula

The only reason I use metrics like this in the first place it because it's not time-efficient to check all the backlinks individually, but if I had to pick one it would be DR.

It's best to have several of these metrics available about a page, and not rely on one to assess its authority. DA may be a strong or weak metric, but very good DA plus very good DR, etc gives you a better clue that the page genuinely has very good authority.
