Given that both these tools give out totally different scores i thought i'd ask you guys which you prefer and why?

I know that they both have different systems that look at different metrics etc, but which do you trust more?

To be clear, I usually use long tail pro and manual research, im just looking for opinions on these two tools.

I have been using kw revealer from past 10 months without any issues but recently one of the members here suggested me kwfinder and I don't know why but their website design looks delicious to me.

Anyway, the another good thing about kwfinder is they show right volume for selected countries and suggestion of kw is also good. And about difficulty score, I also wonder who to believe.

Yeah about the score, i tried the same keyword on both, keyword revealer gave me a score of 3 while KWFinder gave me a score of 13.

I know KWFinder looks at DA, PA, Moz rank, backlinks social signals etc for the top results in google search and i would have assumed Keyword revealer uses the same metrics to give an overall score.

I never used Keyword revealer but one thing that i hate of KWFinder is that you have to manually select each keyword to check the difficoulty

I usually use those two and Semrush's keyword tool. Check the kw on all three, then look at average values.
But I heard LTP and Ahrefs can come very handy as well.

Neither, they're all completely inaccurate. Just look at the top 10 manually and use Ahrefs to see how many links there are to the ranking pages. I ranked a 33k KW on a brand new site to no. 1 spot in less than 2 months and KW Revealer said it was 35+. On the other hand, there have been some KWs under 30 which have been a lot more difficult to rank than that one.

I don't even bother with these tools anymore. Just go with manual + Ahrefs.

KWfinder is the best tool for checking searches in one specific country. I use Keyword Revealer for the competition score, because it's much easier to check the top 10.

But don't forget to use your brain. Check the other competitors and you know enough. Sometimes the competition score is 20+. But than the competitors doesn't even have content on their page.

I never care about what some tools say. I prefer checking out the competition and go from there.

You know, if you are better than your competition, really doesn't matter what sites say about kws :)
