Hello everyone and I hope you're all having a great day! :) I run a network of Authority AdSense sites that do pretty well but wanted to get some input from everyone here. I tend to deal with Text Ads a majority of the time as if you have lets say a 160x600 banner you can display multiple ads in one banner but with a Display ad you're only displaying one ad which is why I usually only use Text ads though I know Display ads usually pay a higher CPC. But, with that said, I wanted to get your opinion as to what ads work and convert best for you. Currently, I only use a 160x600 and 300x250 ad blocks on all of my sites as these as seemed to work very well for me but the ad type(s) is what I'm wanting to some input on from others. Thanks and any input and advice would be appreciated. I think it's important to see how different methods and ad types are converting as seeing the results from multiple users will help us all to see what's working better and will help others to increase the performance of their sites earnings.

Yes text ads also work great for me, I think that probably "banner blindness" prevents people from really "seeing" the image banners. I know that the same thing happens here on BHW for example, all these flashy image banners, usually i just look right past them but there were a few image ads that looked like text ads, and I actually read those.

I think it's best to just have both image/text ads permitted. I'm not completely 100% sure on this, but I believe Adsense will test both of them out and then finally just displays which type converts best for your niche/traffic. I check my sites sometimes through private browsing + different computers from time to time. After the first few weeks of adding Adsense onto the site, it'll display both at first but after awhile, it'll just display whichever converts better.

I'm not positive, but I just think that's the way it is from what I see.

I would say image ads convert pretty well for US-based traffic if they are targeted.

Yes, all of my traffic is 100% targeted and 100% organic. My only problem with Image Ads is that you're only displaying one ad where as when you're displaying Text ads you're able to display multiple ads so when you're using text ads you have a better chance of displaying an ad that will have an interest to your visitor(s) which should result in an increase in your CTR. What are your thoughts on this?
