We had a tsunami watch too and it was supposed to hit around 1pm but it didn't show up either - just another scare tactic...

Latest report is now rounding it up to 19.

People in New Zealand (Where i live), are waiting for it to come aswell. Apparently going to be up to a metre high when it gets here. But it hits on our low tide so isnt going to be devastating.

yea 19 aye, na I was near the devonport beach, nothing really came, just like a large wave due to low tide. It was fine, also Rangitoto would have reduced the wave if it was large

haha na I'm 30m above beach, on a road on a slope and uphill so it wouldn't damaga my house, plus my house is brick with a 1.6m rock posting around the perimetre. Plus Rangitoto will block the majority of the water, so unless it was a huge one i'd be sweet

Sorry I forgot to put a sarcasm emoticon next to my post above. We had a tsunami watch issued here in Hawai'i but it was later canceled.
