So I am gearing up for retirement (one day) and I dream of South American beaches and year round sunshine.

On my list are 3 locations:

    Costa Rica
    Panama
    Belize

Each has advantages and disadvantages . . . which would you choose and why?

    Hogwarts.
    Why you ask?
    1)Redheads
    2)Talking Paintings
    3)Its freakin Hogwarts!

The only bad thing, is there seem to be a high amount of "Clicks" amongst the residents.. Such a shame...

Of those, Belize. Otherwise go to Jamaica or my favorite, ALASKA!

Take mini-retirements until you find where you want to retire permanently

No Belize for me. I've spent some time there and do not care much about it.

I'd be in favor of Panama though.

    Not familiar with Costa Rica.

Somewhere with a stable government and lean tax laws.
Probably the Bahamas or St Lucia.

Costa Rica. I have people I have know throughout the years that absolutely love Costa Rica. One person I know (in my coaching club) actually moved there and loves it.

Hopefully, no dinosaurs (as in Jurassic Park).

Not on the list, but I'd say Bahamas. Then again, I'm only 19, so I should probably slow down and not even think of retirement yet haha.

Chile or Uruguay is where I would go - Ecuador if I didn't have a lot of money
