Where to start in programming?Pl. Help.

    I know C.thats it none other programming languages.
    basically i wanna make bots and stuff.so which language should be my best options.
    also is their a hierarchy in programming languages like first learn c then java then something else?
    what should i go next with.i have around 3 months free from jan 2008.
    also should i join professional institutes or just learn from the net and ebooks and stuff.
    any help will be appreciated.

    Pick a database platform (Microsoft SQL Server a.k.a. T-SQL, MySQL, etc.) and pick an application development platform like C#.

    Once you've decided on those, check out the Head First series of books. Also check out a site called LearnDevNow dot com. They good training vids for everything under the sun for $99 per year.
